My First AP RO Acquisition
Hello fellow members,Picked up my first ever Audemars Piguet Royal Oak this week. Finally had some time to upload some (photo/potato quality) pictures. When I get a chance I'll brush up and take some worthy shots for the forum and my IG.In the meantime, I'm enjoying my new white dial 15400 (well... lightly pre-owned 2015 - I series). Full box and papers.Very ecstatic about this piece. Been a historic speedy nut so this is definitely a different step. I'm on the smaller wrist side 6.5 inches but this wears great on my flat wrist. As always, enjoying reading this forum and everyone's input. Cheers!
AP ROC service costs
I've been offered an absolutely stonking deal on a WG 25960BC. It is an F-serial with no service history. It's running +10s and 295deg amplitude and 0,5ms beat error, so even though it's not really screaming for it yet, I think it could benefit from a service.Does anyone have info about the real service costs for the Royal Oak Chronos? I can't find them anymore from APs website, and Google gives such a crazy range of prices, some simply I heard from my friend credibility. So, has anyone actually went through and serviced their AP chrono at AP? What were the costs?
Yachtmaster midsize with blue dial vs. Panerai PAM00081
I have been searching for a Yachtmaster midsize with blue dial (168623) for several months now. However, yesterday I saw a Panerai and I see that some models come with the steel bracelet, which I like. Specifically I like the PAM00081.Two questions:1. Is the steel bracelet an option I can get on any Panerai, or just some?2. Which would look better on a smaller wrist: the Midsize YM or the 40MM PAM00081?
The Games AD's Play
I walked into an AD this afternoon looking for one of the hard to find Rolex SD43. As always, it wasn't in the case, but I did ask the saleslady about it's availability. She said they did not have one in stock at the moment. I mentioned to her I called a week ago asking about it's availability and was told they are taking orders for the watch but on the condition payment is made in full.I asked about ETA on the order. She said up to 3 months. I told her I wasn't keen on waiting that long for it. She asked me to have a seat and went to get the manager. When she and the manager came back, I mentioned that I was a previous customer and purchased a YM2 SS from them. When I told them my name, they pulled a sheet of paper out with my full name on it and the words Rolex Sea Dweller on it. I do recall I emailed them about the Sea Dweller over a month ago and figured they probably took down my info in case one ever came in. Still, it was kind of odd to see.At that point, the saleslady asked the
