LOUIS ERARD Excellence Automatic Regulator
Louis Erard C Excellence Automatic RegulatorWatches with regulators have a seductive power: they grab your attention and impel you to adapt to a way of telling the time that couldn't be more different from the classic way. Time is split with the minutes taking centre stage whilst the hours and seconds are relegated to support acts in sub-dials.Louis Erard unveiled a new model at 2016's Baselworld: Excellence Automatic Regulator. It is powered by a self-winding Sellita SW200 calibre which features a complication designed by Dubois Dpraz inside the 42mm steel case. The silver dial is splashed with vertical "C?tes de Geneve" and two horizontal screwdown strips which house the large blue minute hand. A small blue javelin-shape hand at 12 glides over the Roman hour numerals whilst the seconds lie at 6 and the date at 3.Price: 2,800 CHFBy Sharmila Bertin

just when i thought the ceramic RO PC couldn't get any better. Love the Blue Dial. Might have looked a tad better w/o white subdials and keeping it all blue, but i think it looks great.https://.hodinkee/articles/au...nly-watch-2017
A walk on the Grey Side
A couple of days I got a call from the Omega boutique I frequent and my man there says he has a Grey Side of the Moon coming in, and that he's going to hold it for me. Normally, I'd dash over the second I hear something cool is coming in but since work had me buried, I told him I'd come in on the weekend. Naturally, the anticipation over the next day and a half built up to the point where I was going to lose my marbles. Thankfully I survived and finally hit the boutique earlier today. Now, brace yourselves. As much as I've been looking forward to this watch and thought I'd immediately buy it, I wasn't completely sold. I don't know if I built it up too much in my head but it didn't have the same effect that the DSOTM had one me when I first saw it. I suppose this is naturally considering it's basically the same watch with a few cosmetic differences. Don't get me wrong, it is lovely but it didn't have enough to hook me immediately. The couple of quibbles I had - the lighter colour and hig

Grandpa's Watch...Omega *pics*
I was lucky enough for my Grandpa to give me one of his watches as a present earlier this year. I know nothing about watches honestly, but have heard Omega is one of the nice brands out there. I'd love to know some history on the watch, and if I can find out what year it was made that would be great. My Dad just had it polished and cleaned up a little for me for Christmas so it's looking pretty nice Also, how would I find out the value of the watch? I would never sell it, but I'd like to know the value. Thanks guys/gals!
