Hands-On: With the MB&F HMX Tenth Anniversary Watch, And A Second Look At HM6 (Live Pics, Thoughts, Pricing)
This year is the tenth anniversary of one of the most interesting ongoing stories in watchmaking: the horological think-tank and design refinery known as MB&F. The company got its start when Max Büsser, formerly the head of the watch division of Harry Winston (where he helmed, among other things, the genesis of the legendary Opus series of watches) decided to leave the relative security of corporate life in the watch world (I use the world “relative” advisedly) and pursue his own very idiosyncratic vision of horological design. The basic inspiration behind the general design language of MB&F is pretty well known to serious enthusiasts – much of it is derived from Büsser’s own childhood fascination with the seemingly endlessly inventive worlds of fantasy, and science fiction, and he’s mined those worlds very effectively for both specific design cues, and for something more intangible: a marriage of nostalgia and design innovation, with an

Speedmaster Pro Apollo XI 40th Anniversary
Evening all,Had a chance to try this on today, and it's not a bad looking watch - the red-tipped chrono seconds hand was a nice touch, and the mission patch on the subdial is good too - sterling silver, not printed on like the Moon to Mars editions. Comes in a mahoosive box, the usual limited edition gubbins, and a 42mm silver commemorative medallion. But, at 3500, I think it's a little on the pricey side, especially as it's not all that limited - 7969 will be made. To sum up, I like the looks of it, but not the price. Anyone else had a chance to see one in the flesh?
Bracelet for a 5164?
Hello everyone! My understanding is that the tropical (rubber) strap is the only option for the 5164. Additionally, I was let to believe that the SS bracelet for the 5167 would not fit the 5164. However, I have seen some pictures showing 5164's on a bracelet. Can anyone clarify if this is a possibility? In addition, assuming it does work, can I contact HSWA and simply purchase one from them? If so, how much will the bracelet cost? Thanks in advance for your help!
Strap suggestions
For all of you who have ordered straps could you please suggest a strap size (e.g.; 130/80) for a Panerai 44 mm that would fit a 7.5 inch wrist. Thanks
