Hublot Classic Fusion Chronograph Aerofusion The Watch Gallery Limited Edition
Exclusivity breeds desire, or so it seems Hublot are hoping. The Classic Fusion Chronograph Aerofusion model is a collaboration with the Watch Gallery and only 25 will be made. It is the fifth collaboration of its kind and the second with Hublot, following the dual release of their Classic Fusion Automatic and Chronograph models last year. As well as Hublot, Bremont, Zenith, and Bell & Ross have had the Watch Gallery treatment. So why did LVMH-owned Hublot get another call so soon? Maybe it has something to do with the sheer size of Hublot watches and how well they become a canvas for design.Hublot can be a tough brand to figure out. The watches are styled to grab your attention, with a great emphasis on presence and color. But every so often they bring out a timepiece that has a subtler tone and it really works. If you're a classic dress watch fan and extol the virtues of a Jaeger LeCoultre or a Vacheron Constantin above all others, you might find even the most discreetly design
Bell & Ross BR 01-92 Radar Limited Edition Watch
The below article was written by contributor Marco, who sells Bell & Ross watches.By now, most people that know of it know that the Bell & Ross BR-01 watch was conceived to look like the instruments in an airplane cockpit namely the altimeter or other similar analog gauges. Airplanes necessitate plenty of gadgets to run, however, so Bell & Ross has taken their Instrument idea and extended it to include an other important element of flight instrumentation the Radar. The BR01 Radar will be produced in a limited edition of 500 pieces. It displays the time using three discs, each marked with a happily colored line to indicates a unit of time. This configuration emulates the sweeping light beam of the radar screen, but more importantly it creates a unique and fun look for enthusiasts of the BR-01 92.The dial of the BR-01 Radar is what makes this watch peculiar. The traditional hands that point out the time have been replaced by three discs that are marked with colored lines.

Here is an interesting article which discusses the meaning of Patek:.philosophersmail/2002...sm-adverts.php
Patek 5140 - a bargain or pitfall
Whilst looking for a 3970 i came across a 5140 being offered by quite a reputable grey market dealer based. The watch is the 5140G and is five years old - whilst i have not viewed it in person the dealer tells me that the watch is in excellent condition and the photographs would seem to back that up.The watch is priced at $45,000 - which to me seems very reasonable. The catch is that it comes without the original box (the dealer said that they could provide a Patek box) and without original papers. I spoke with the dealer and he wasn't sure if he had the archive papers either. Is there any way to mitigate the potential pitfalls of this purchase (e.g. it could have been stolen, could have been serviced by a none approved Patek specialist, could be faulty etc).Or would you just stay away from it all together?I don't mind passing on it but i find it hard to miss out on what could be a good deal.Any thoughts / input appreciated.
