Speedmaster Date 3513.50 Question about Service
Watch is about 15 years old - this will be its 3rd service (last 2 were through Omega in Beverly Hills and it has been 5 years since the last one). It was losing about 20 seconds/day, so definitely due for service. Omega website says $675 for basic service. The list below is quoted by Hyde Park (Denver) at $760. Is there more on this list than would normally be required? Polishing is another $150. Any concerns about Hyde Park? I am not sure if I will polish or not.Service quote:Includes the disassembly, cleaning, adjustment and replacement of worn internal components.Includes all gaskets and case adjustments necessary to ensure the water resistance of the timepiece.Includes mainspring, barrel and arborIncludes dial repair (center and align)Includes hands repair (tighten and align)Includes stem replacement Includes case repair Includes push button repair Includes riveting 8 weeks from the date of approval is required for this process. Omega Speedmaster 3572.50 replacement for Planet Ocean
Hello everyone,I have been using my Omega Planet Ocean for a daily wear for the past 1 1/2 year and just recently traded it in. Although I was used to it, wearing it everyday, I couldn't help but think that alot of it was unnecessary weight. I was looking at replacing it with an Omega Speedmaster 3572.50 with hesalite crystal and sapphire caseback as my daily wear. Does anyone have any input/opinions, or past experiences that can help me compare these 2 watches in terms of weight and how comfortable they sit on your wrist? Would the Speedmaster be a suitable replacement? My local dealer no longer carries Omega.
Selling my ap 15202 for PP 5980/1a?
I have been thinking of pulling the trigger on the 5980/1a for sometime now, will have to sell A watch to fund my PP chrono, i was going to part with my Pam 233 gmt, but then realized it will be more likely taking a hit on the second hand market. Should I sell my ap 15202 instead? Jumbo does get some wrist time and I love it, but not the same love I have for the 5980/1a. What do you guys think?
does Everest rubber tang fit 8 inch wrist on 40mm models?
80mm x 120mm band wrist size says 6.25 to 7.25 only? is this true?anyone with larger wrists have a recommendation on rubber straps? want a strap with a little bit of tail not a nub, lol...and it seems rubber b and Everest are the only two options for curved rubber, right?
Submariner Gold Bracelet
My Submariner gold bracelet has a crack in the clasp that snaps down before the flip lock. It cracked on both sides and is only locked by the flip lock. I am sure that one side broke before the other, but was only brought to my attention when they both went. Did anyone have this happen to them and what is the proper repair? Can it be soldered with gold by a certified Rolex dealer? Does it have to be replaced? How much will it cost. Thank you to the Rolex Forums community. I know I will have answers immediately. You guys are the best.
