Beautiful New Ceramic Bell & Ross BRS Watches Is New Direction For The Company
French designed Bell & Ross watches just don't cease to impress me. This company is on a roll! I cannot wait to see where there will be in a few years. Even before they become popular with the release of the BR-01 line of watches, I was a fan. Talk about being ahead of the curve right? Well Bell & Ross realizes the wide appeal of the BR-01 line, and have creates many derivatives. There was the smaller BR-03 at 42mm (as opposed to 46mm with the BR-01), then the BR-02 Diving instrument came out and took the line in an entire new direction. The appeal of the BR-01 was the square case with round dial. Now, Bell & Ross experiments by taking a decidedly more formal approach than is typical with the commonly rugged and instrumental looks of the BR-01.The New BRS models are not the first ceramic watches to be released by Bell & Ross. They recently came out with black and white ceramic BR-03 watches (even with diamonds), but the BRS watches are smaller yet (though still large e
Introducing: The Senfine Concept Watch From Parmigiani Fleurier, With An Amazing Escapement That Allows A 70 Day Power Reserve
?At any given SIHH or Baselworld, you’re obviously always going to see a plethora (to put it mildly) of new watches, but one thing you don’t see very often is a new escapement. That’s because designing a new escapement – much less one that can actually be produced in large enough numbers to be commercially viable – is probably the single biggest problem in watchmaking. Over the centuries since the very first – the verge escapement – was used in clocks, there have really been only a handful that have been used extensively, and in watchmaking, it’s a virtually certainty that any watch you buy is going to have a lever escapement. But not this one. 1 OF 7 Omega now uses the Daniels co-axial escapement in all its in-house movements but it was a huge challenge for them to make it and enormously expensive in both time and money to industrialize, and departures from the lever in modern watchmaking tend to be made in very small numbe
Hands-On: The Cle de Cartier Women's Collection
It is not news that Cartier released their new collection, Clé de Cartier, earlier this year. HODINKEE actually did a wonderful review on the men's collection in February – however I want to further explore the women’s pieces in the collection. 1 OF 11 You may have noticed that women’s watches are having a moment. With brands focusing the majority of their marketing towards attracting female buyers, women are wearing watches more than ever. Additionally, fashion editorials are featuring wristwatches in more advertisements and accessory spreads than in previous years, and not just women’s watches, men's watches – think pink-gold AP Royal Oaks and Panerais. 2 OF 11 Cartier is one of the most influential and recognizable brands in the industry and has a rich history of producing classic women’s watches. The chances are very high that Cartier was the first watch brand that you ever heard of – that or Rolex
Future of the DJII 116333
I've had a thing for this model for many years now and since it's been discontinued with the oyster bracelet and gray dial, I'm curious where prices could go. This was kind of a poster child for Rolex in advertising for quite a while. How do you think used prices will fare? I've already felt the heat of prices on bluesy 16613 subs. Not sure how things will go with the DJ2 considering it's not a sports model. All enabling aside, strike while the iron's hot??
