Survey Shows Affluent Losing Confidence in U.S. Economy
The Unity Marketing Luxury Consumption Index took its steepest quarterly plunge since the recession began, falling 16.8 points to 66 points in the second quarter. This is significantly lower than the previous quarter’s 82.8 points. The LCI currently stands close to the level attained at the onset of the Great Recession. Unity Marketing’s LCI is considered to be a leading indicator of the economic activity among affluent households. The survey of 1,272 consumers with an average income of $301,000 and an average net worth of $856,000 was conducted July 6-13.Corresponding to the decline in luxury consumer confidence, the average amount spent by affluent consumers on luxury goods and services in the second quarter declined by 8.4 percent from the first quarter and dropped 18.4 percent year on year.However it’s not all doom and gloom for luxury retailers. I recently bought a Rose Gold Rubber Clad with the newer dial. I know that one of the complaints about the Rubber Clads or just the 42mm Offshores is the comfort of the deployant buckle. I found that with my wrist size, I'm almost at the end of the strap and the buckle was cutting into my wrist. I decided to get the Rose Tang Buckle from the newest series of Rose Gold Offshores along with a rubber strap. They couldn't send me the alligator because of import restrictions. Well after a conversation at 3PM on Tuesday. My package was prepped and ready for FedEx. It was here at 5 AM local time the next morning and just missed the next day delivery. This was a local customs clearance issue. Talk about fast and great service. They also mounted the buckle on the strap as per my request. The girls were knowledgeable and enthusiastic to a fault. A really pleasant experience.

How much to sell Breitling Aerospace (one of twelve)
Ive got a Breitling Aerospace Titanium that was given to the military pilots after the MS Estonia accident. One of twelve made.It got a special dial and some paper proving it from Breitling.It was rarely worn by the pilot and box and papers are complete.Do you think its worth more then a normal Aerospace, or do Breitling do this spacial series all the time, making it nothing special? I've been wearing my speedy on a leather strap or Nato since I got it a year ago........ always aiming to get a 1171 bracelet. But there has always been that other watch comming up on the radar before getting it. Every time I straped on the speedy thinking what it would look like with the bracelet.
