Giuliano Mazzuoli Carrara Watch With Marble Case
The newest watch from Italian designer Giuliano Mazzuoli is a surprisingly simple beauty with a few neat tricks up its sleeve. This is the new for 2014 Giuliano Mazzuoli Carrara watch, and it has a case made out of Italian marble stone. While stone-cased watches are quite rare, they aren't unheard of. A rare treat, nevertheless, stone watches are difficult to get right, and while I haven't seen one of the new Giuliano Mazzuoli Carrara timepieces in person (yet), the elegant design and pleasant use of materials is extremely intriguing. While previous Giuliano Mazzuoli watch designs have been (to my knowledge) exclusively inspired by the automotive world, the Giuliano Mazzuoli Carrara is the first "non-car world" watch in his collection. "Carrara" (unlike Carrera) is not from the car world, but rather a place in Italy located in Tuscany. The region is known for its stone quarries which are notable for their bluish white marble stone. Thinking about selling my Chronomat Evolution - would you?
I've had my Chornomat Evolution for some time now and it doesn't get as much wrist time as it used to. I've always been very careful with it and it shows very little sign of wear. I absolutely LOVE the blue dial against the rose gold and SS backdrop. It keeps perfect time and is a real eye-catcher.My dilemma: I'm now more drawn to solid gold watches and am thinking about either acquiring a rose gold Breitling B01 w/ black roman numerals - or - a GMT Master II YG Rolex (black face). What would you guys do? My other option is to leave it in my watch winder until my son is of proper age (which I have no problem doing) - but that's over a decade away =)It's currently in the for sale section, but I'm having second thoughts. Any recommendations are welcome.
Getting down to my one and only. . .
Several times I have mentioned that I could make do with my 300 MC as my one and only because it is so versatile.Well it looks like that is about to happen. The bills from my heart surgery have begun to arrive and I need to free up some cash.Hopefully, I will be able to hang on to the 300 MC.As my wife says, watches are only stuff and you should never let your stuff own you.
Submariner + Everest Band, a simple review
Hey guys, Yesterday I launched a new project, not intended to be a business but more of a creative outlet for myself. What better way to start this with a simple review from a watch nerd. This project will consist of a lot more than product reviews, I'll do street photography, thoughts on interesting topics, cars & motor photography, travel photography, watches, architecture and more. Hope you guys enjoy it.The Less is More Theory
