Timekeeper Chronometire Mystery Of Time: Table Clock Art
Picture this: a rather large table with a clock that rises out out the column style leg through the center of the table. The clock slowly rises up when a sensor is hit with light - meant to be activated by the morning sun. When the clock "chapel" finishes its ascent a series of sections open up like a flower to reveal a "mystery clock," earth and moon planetarium, and a giant tourbillon that spins on three axis points. That is more of less what the "Mystery of Time" clock by Timekeeper Chronometrie and Atelier Knesebeck in Germany is all about. These artistic luxury horology creations are super limited, and super expensive. You also better have a spare room to put it.Read more about the Mystery of Time clock in my full article on James List here.
RGM 300 Professional Diver Mother-of-Pearl Dial Watches
This is potentially the newest version of the RGM 300 Professional Diver's watch. The 300 watch important as being American RGM's first diving watch, and most agree that it was well done. It is a sober looking tool watch with cohesive lines, and a thick parts the communicate strength and quality. The original 300 Diver had lots of merit, including different dial options and a cool Blancpain Fifty Fathoms like canvas strap, or a metal bracelet as seen in the images. The watch has an ETA 2892 automatic movement that sits inside of the massively thick stainless steel case that is water resistant to 2,500 feet (750 meters) and is 42.3mm wide. Everything on the watch looks easy to operate including the large crown and easy to grip rotating bezel. So what is new for the RGM 300 watch? The mother of pearl dials of course. Two will be available including a standard white toned mother of pearl dial, and a black?? Tahitian mother of pearl dial. Both are impossible to photograph with any real appr
AP RG Novelty or Rolex YG DDII
I am thinking about changing up my collection a little bit and the piece in question is my DDII ... While I love the way it feels and looks, I have been thinking of changing the dial for a while now. Which brings me to the consideration of a RG Novelty... My minimal hesitation is the rubber strap but I saw a leather band option at the AP boutique. Perhaps the ROC in RG?My question is does this trade make sense? I have always wanted a DDII and was fortunate enough to source it after a long wait. I just wish the dial would be more 'intricate' like in AP's. Another variable is to get the RG SkyDweller on bracelet when it comes our later this year. Would appreciate any insight. Am I crazy to consider this?Borrowed pics
5711 (ss) vs. 5522
So what's it gonna be, old school favorite versus limited new kid. Doesn't matter white or blue dial. Your favorite dial vs the pilot. Thought this would be fun as it's getting so much fanfare and the prices are similar, msrp. We know bailman and socal are with the ltd. How bout you? Oh, and pictures always speak louder than words.
I did it....my first patek!! (Picture heavy)
Thanks Puffy....your mini-review enabled me! I sure hope you're wrong about the scratches though, 'cause this baby's never coming off my wrist.
