Side-By-Side: Seiko SKX007 + Orient Mako USA
Last week we took a look at the new Orient Mako USA, Orient's reimagining of one of their most popular entry-level divers. At $225, the Mako USAwhich comes updated with some higher-end specsoffers some serious bang-for-your-buck value. The comments section for that review understandably brought up comparisons to the SKX007, Seiko's flagship diver and probably the most iconic affordable dive watch currently on the market. So it got us thinking, does the new and improved Mako rival the venerable SKX007?Now, I'm sure you're thinking that it's not exactly a fair comparison. Looking to Purchase a Speedy
I am looking to purchase a speedy 311.30.42.30.01.005 in the next 6 months. Can anyone provide a good reference for an AD? I am going to purchase NIB with factory warranty. Not sure if I should go with a online gray market dealer or try and negotiate local. I have plenty of time so I thought I would start my research early. Thanks in advance for any positive advice.Jeff
My Rolex with aftermarket parts- Need advise
Hello,I'm new to this forum and I admittedly don't know much about watches.... but I want to learn. I was given a 1968 Rolex Presidential. The watch is 18K white gold with an aftermarket dial and band. The band is not made by Rolex and it's 18k yellow gold which rhodium plated to match the watch and looks exactly like a genuine Rolex band. I was told the band weighs 67.5 grams. Also, the dial is aftermarket. It's bright blue with diamonds where the numbers should be (except at 12:00 where it has the day of the week)Thank you.
