industrial operations to be housed in Rolex's updated Bienne manufactory
Preliminary work for the site's preparation has already been completed, with the first operations to be undertaken in coming weeks. The design and implementation will be carried out by the architectural team of Gebert, Strassler & Storck, in association with BG Group Consulting Engineers. In addition to the comprehensive range of industrial operations to be housed in Rolex's updated Bienne manufactory, the integrated facility will also offer such perks as supplementary underground parking space, supply areas, several cafeterias, and a fine restaurant.
Hand finishing
Same question I had on Watchtech but no replies yet , you may wiil.Is it possible to identify the hand finishing vs machine made polish on watchcases ?basically the final polishing done by hand at all manufacturers or just in the high end segment?May you can tell what to look for to judge properly ,in my book hand finishig allows tiny misperfections however most high end pieces i ve handled seems to be perfect except under 10x magnification i ve seen small how to call misalignment i wouldn t call those a flaws rather the human touch, but it was mostly on the case ,on the movement even under high magnification for me hard to find the difference.Cld you pls comment, thanks
Explorer II 16570
Quick Question,I have 3 automatics in my daily rotation and wanted to get y'alls opinion. I have a 2005 black dial stick 36mm datejust (smooth bezel, all brushed oyster bracelet). Is that watch different enough from my Polar Explorer II 16570?I realize both can be considered sports watches. But I feel I can certainly dress up my datejust a lot easier (despite it being a non-fluted, non-jubilee). More recently I started asking myself if those are too similar and wanted to get others opinion on the matter. I realize most of it comes down to personal preference. I do like that dial color makes them totally different as well.My 3rd watch is a 36mm pilot (grey dial on a brown alligator strap). Not that it matters, but gives you perspective of my full luxury lineup (generic pics attached).
