Pre-Basel: Hublot Classic Fusion Extra-Thin Skeleton
For Baselworld, Hublot presents something new for the brand: an extra-thin Classic Fusiuon skeleton watch. The 45mm watch is equipped with a new movement just 2.9mm thick, developed by Hublot. It comes in a fully skeleton-worked version that puts the escapement and balance wheel on display. The dial side features small seconds at 7 o’clock. UPDATED: U.S. prices added. In a nod to the brand’s history, the hands match those of the very first Hublot watches. With a 90-hour power reserve and 50-meter water resistance, this piece is available in two versions, one in titanium, limited to 1000 pieces, and the other in 18k King Gold with 500 pieces. The retail prices are $16,400 for the titanium model and $33,700 for the gold version. Additional technical information appears below the images, which may be enlarged with a click.TECHNICAL DETAILSReferences: 515.NX.0170.LR – Titanium, 1000-piece limited series; 515.OX.0180.LR – 18K King Gold, 500-piece limited seriesCase:
ROO Panda 26400 SS or RG Rubberclad 42
After owning a SS Diver 2x, a volcano, and 15400 3x, I wanted to give one of these a shot. I liked the volcano the most out of the above models but just too much orange in the end so off it went. This will be a pretty much a daily piece. I would be looking at the Rubber Clad with the newer style dial if that sways you one way or another. I know the 44's wear much larger than the 42's. Any thoughts or wrist shots would be greatly appreciated!
Which Rolex(es) do you own and what do you do for a living???
I thought it would be fun to know what you do for a living and which Rolex(es) you own!! (not owned but what you currently have) We might also be able to make new contacts!!I'm in the Cellphone Business (Wholesale, Retail, Unlocking) and I own a SS GMT IIC.
Spontaneous Hulk buy and possible temporary regret.
So, let me start by saying the hulk was on my eventual shopping list. I had every intention of buying a dd36 (champagne with sticks) this year. This past week I was given the opportunity to get a hulk from my ad, so I jumped on it. I'm not going to lie, I knew I eventually wanted one, and got caught up in the hype of limited supply and it being discontinued, and all the other stuff I know I should not let swing my decision. The punchline is, I'm not going to be able to afford the dd36 this year. Now that the dust is settled I'm a little disappointed I have to wait at least another year to be ready for the DD. The hulk is awesome, but I was zeroed in on getting my grail. I know this is probably one those quit your crying moments, but I'd be curious what others would do. Do I dump the hulk and get the DD now, or enjoy the hulk and wait another 12-18 months for the DD (that is of course if life doesn't get in the way)Thanks for listening to me vent about this non-problem. Rolex Sub C ND or Omega Seamaster 300 60th Anniversary
Hi, I would like to get your opinion on these two great timepieces. I felt that both are almost similar - no date, black bezel, iconic diving watch, from reputable brands with lots of history. If you were to choose one, what would it be and why?I know this is a Rolex forum. And thank you for giving me your thought on these two watches. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
