Roger Dubuis Excalibur Knights Of The Round Table II Watch
A?watch designer's job is to create a relationship between the wearer and their watch. The new Roger Dubuis Excalibur Knights of the Round Table II watch does this is a clever way. By decorating the dial with a culturally significant diorama, the wearer is not only comfortable with an image they have seen many times before, but they are also susceptible to its potential as an emotional trigger. With a single glance, a whole gamut of feeling can be released: Pride, passion, patriotism, for example.?The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Knights of the Round Table II picks up where the first Round Table watch left off, moving the design brief in a new direction and elevating the craftsmanship to a new level. The emotive potential of objects is enormous. The Round Table of King Arthur featured on the original model from Roger Dubuis was an imitation of the ceremonial table that hangs on the wall of Winchester Castle. That table, and others just like it, were used to great effect during the reign of Ed
UPDATED: Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Acoustic Research Episode 1 Watch
We have said this before and will say it again: while?unceasingly impressive from a technical point of view, traditional minute repeater wristwatches?tend to have a soberingly underwhelming sound when operated and experienced personally. This is the?result of thick cases done in precious metals?like gold and platinum, as well as?the ancient layout?and functioning?of this centuries old mechanism.?With?their?2015 concept piece called the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak?Concept Acoustic Research Episode 1, the Le Brassus-based manufacture?strives to join the extremely close circle of high-end watch brands who have set out to improve upon the acoustic performance of this mind-bogglingly complex, and yet in some ways obsolete?complication. The?case design will be familiar to seasoned watch enthusiasts: it is the?Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept with its unusual, angular lug structure.?As per the norm, it is this case that?carries the brand's experimental calibers, which pave its way?into uncharte
Praesto Modern Fliegeruhr Aviator Watch Coming Soon
I think a revolution in watch making is finally due. The being the official legitimate entrance of the quality Chinese watch maker. "But the Chinese have been making watches, and watch parts for years" you say. Yes, but how many Chinese watch brands do you know of? Just a scant few. Sea-Gull is one of them, but really who else that you'd take seriously? Over the last few years some of the major Chinese watch makers who have been making the parts in other popular watches have decided that they need to get into the game of having their own brands. It is a totally novel concept for them because most Chinese watches are labeled as something else. Be it a legitimate foreign company or a knock-off of something else. The next obvious step for China is to have more actual brands that non Chinese people want to buy. These fledgling companies still have a lot to work out, but here is a timepiece from a new brand called Praesto that I think you'll really enjoy, the modern looking Praesto Fliegeru

PP 5164 Comfort, et al.
Mates - I'm seriously considering the 5164 and read many conflicting posts on these topics. Specifically referencing the movement noise, is there anything else detracting about this piece ? I also swim occasionally and it would be nice with this on but I've read about the pushers as a deterrent. I'm sure they are sealed. Finally, how bulky is the piece ? I've owned a 5167 which was thinner and wondering if the size of the 5164 on rubber becomes off centered due to its heft or if it sits as comfortably and flat as my 5167 did. Thanks again for all comments !
