Introducing: The New Omega Speedmaster Moonphase Master Chronometer Chronograph For Baselworld 2016
The pre-Baselworld releases have started to roll in and today we bring you the upcoming new addition to the Omega Speedmaster Collection – the Speedmaster Chronograph Moonphase Master Chronometer. The watch was first announced in January and we're taking a look at it for the first time here at HODINKEE. 1 OF 2 The new 44 mm stainless-steel Speedmaster Moonphase features a blue dial with a moon-phase aperture at 6 o’clock, and is further set with 12-hour register and date sub-dials at 3 and 9 o'clock, respectively. This new Speedy also has a brand new in-house movement, the caliber 9904, which is made of 368 components and builds on the earlier 9300 series. The moon phase is both a Master Co-Axial and Chronometer and therefore is certified as a Master Chronometer. Good place to buy a strap for Vintage Omega?
Hey Guys, I have a 1950's Omega Seamaster Bumper Automatic that is getting serviced as we speak. It was still running but slow by more than 20 seconds a day (and also periodically just died even while wearing). I imagine it may have not been serviced for more than 30 years. Since the watch will (hopefully) be running like new when i get it back I was thinking of getting a nice new strap. It is currently on a brown Alligator strap and I would like to go less dressy. Perhaps brown calfskin? suggestions? where could i buy a good quality strap from? Below is a picture before the service (a new crystal is part of the service)omega.jpgThanks! -Tom
Your advice re PAM 82C and a titanium bracelet
Evening All!Am hopefully about to pull the trigger on an 82C. A few years ago I had an 89E and put an OEM titanium bracelet on it which used micro adapters to fit the case properly. Stupidly I didn't record the ref nos for either the bracelet or the micro adapters. I want to do the same again if I land the 82C. Can anyone help me get the right ref nos to take to a Panerai boutique? The dealer here in Dubai is v poor knowledge wise and i reckon I can probably get the answers through the and guys like you rather than spend 3hrs on a weekend with him explaining it!Thanks guysM
Enough about Basel, bring on the NorEaster!
Good news ladies and gentlemen, the SD43 can survive a winter storm...even though things got close with the depth rating. Now lets see your watches battle the winter conditions!
