Watches NEWS
BEST FROM: watches-dealer & Friends December 5, 2014
With so many new collectors coming into the market, watch auctions are a big business now. Philips recently announced a new watch department headed by Aurel Bacs, who was until very recently the International Head of Watches for Christies. However, the world of watch auctions is not all as it may seem. Yes, it may be exciting and glamorous, but there are also many potential pitfalls. We kickstart this month's roundup by highlighting some facts about watch auctions that you ought to know. And since Christmas is just around the corner, there are also no shortage of new watch reviews too. 44mm TI and Ceramic weight difference?
If someone can let me know the precise weight of both the watches.RgdsUrooj
My rg ROC desconstructed....
Sent my recently acquired 39mm rg ROC to the local APSC yesterday for a service overhaul and polish. Late this afternoon I received this photo from the service center (whose owner I consider a friend). Will definitely post pics upon its return from the service center.
R or J?
I know that personal preference obviously should play the biggest part in choosing between rose and yellow gold, but in this thread, I'm asking about the other consequences of this choice beyond how happy one might be with the aesthetics. That is, are there practical considerations regarding discolouration or maintenance? What about desirability and resale value? Are the other factors that result from a choice of one over the other?
White ss skyd, pull the trigger?
Walked in to see if they had a WG sub, but they just got this in. Should i pull the trigger because of limited qty...or pass? I like it, but not sure if its a keeper.Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
