So much so, that occasionally we think that some type of undead uprising is bound to happeneventually. Being prepared for the zombie outbreak is essential. As part of your readiness kit, you'll need some reliable gear, including a timepiece. So forget all those arguments about using your phone or computer to tell the time. When you are a survivalist nomad in a post Department of Water & Power world, you'll need a reliable timepiece to help keep you alive. This article is also a bit of an update to a piece we did over five years ago on a similar thread. New Addition, and new shoes
Hello Everyone! It has been a while since I last posted on this forum, but recently I found a good reason to do so: I bought another Royal Oak from DavidSW. This time it was an Offshore, Navy. What can I say, an AMAZING transaction as always, and a spectacular piece! And, having APSC so close to where I live, it just made it so much easier for me to almost immediately get new shoes for my new ROO. BTW, Ms, Lindsay Peterson (After Sales) and Kevin (Watchmaker), at APSC, were incredibly welcoming / friendly / professional. They helped me with the parts department in sourcing the the navy blue hornback strap. It is always a treat to stop by their offices! As much as like the rubber strap, the blue hornback looks just at home on my RO; at least to me. Below, please find some pics. I really like this combo. Thanks!

First, what didn't make the cut in 2017: My first release of the year was my AP 15400 with the white dial. It's been the only AP I've ever owned and I do hope one day to get back to the AP family. Maybe a Jumbo would be the ticket? I really really wanted to connect for life with the 15400 but I could not get the darn watch to fit right. Even with the 1.5 link it was either too tight or too loose. While I'm being completely honest too I think AP went a little too big with this reference. None the less, a forum member got a great deal and off it went. The one I was most surprised about was my Patek 5711 with a white dial. I had the opportunity to purchase this one from an AD this year and I jumped at the chance. But for whatever reason it didn't sing and didn't stay long with me. Next to go was my IWC Portuguese Auto 5001-07. I had this one in the collection for several years. I s
