Got to try on a TI Schumacher yesterday
What a beautiful watch. It was rather large but didn't look so big on my wrist. Felt much lighter than my Daytona. Makes me want to find a RB2 in Ti. The red date wheel really sets off the dial along with the mirror polished sides of the bezel. The only part I didnt care for is that it has a buckle and the rubber strap was so wide. Why don't they make a deployment buckle for these new 44s?Also what is the rotor material made from? My relative that owns it thinks its platinum but wasn't sure. It looked too dark to be platinum to me. Here it is dwarfing my Daytona.
Finally decided to buy it - just picked up a new to me Speedy
I just got this from George, so I thought I would post the first pic; taking the dog for walk along Coyote Hills.
AP 15400 + Rolex SubC towards an Aqua 5167/1A -- what are your ideas about, please ?
Big, Big doubt I know, most of you guys would go towards Patek with no blinking .... but I need some of your thoughts on this subject I was offered the trade of my AP 15400, pic below, and a BNIB Rolex Sub C that I am about to pick up at AD, towards a BNIB Aquanaut 5167/1A .I am considering to finally REFUSE this trade .On my newbie opinion, there's not too much advantage trading a watch like that AP towards Aquanaut -- in my opinion, watches that are apparently on similar level , and still throw in a BNIB SubC..... Is my idea wrong?Hearing your ideas that could show me otherwise is very important just now !The Aqua available is on bracelet, the cash difference towards them is very low, and the look of Aqua in bracelet is quite nice IMHO -- which has surprised me, given all preferences here is for the rubber strap version . Maybe because I do like bracelets, given that I really like the bracelet version on my AP .Friends are saying that SubC are easy to get and I am just hoarding b
My First Rolex Purchase | Any Advice Much Appreciated
Hello everyone, this is my first ever post on this forum and any advice/opinions will be taken on board. I put a deposit on a 2016 no date submariner last week and will be going to finally see it and possibly collect it depending if I'm happy with everything. I'm based in a small town in Australia so I'm travelling to see this watch. Due to the market in Australia at the moment and limited supply been sold I''m paying a very high premium for this piece, it's from a well recongised second hand dealer. A few things I want to ask:Is it to late to negoitate the final price that was on the website? I quickly rushed into throwing a deposit down because they are selling like hotcakes and didn't want to miss out. Secondly been my first rolex I really wanted to have a complete set, meaning manuals and outer white box/swing tag. Just because it would be nice and something Id like. I believe it only comes with the Green box and warranty papers, Apart of me feels like for the price I'm paying thes
18k WG watches and Bracelets
Just looking through the 2017-2018 Rolex book and my question is... are 18k WG watch bracelets steel or do they have 18k WG PCL? For example an 18k WG Sky-Dweller or DateJust, it seems the only 18k WG on the watch is the bezel. Do they only use gold on either the 18k YG and RG and steel for the WG versions?
