Gucci Launches New Watch for 2013 Grammy Awards
The 55th Annual Grammy Awards will take place this weekend in Los Angeles, and for the third year in a row, Gucci Timepieces & Jewelry will release a new, Grammy-branded wristwatch to coincide with the music industry’s biggest night. In 2010, Gucci launched its Grammy Special Edition watch collection as part of a three-year partnership with The Recording Academy, organizers of the Grammys. The latest edition to the collection is a timepiece whose design offers a variation on Gucci’s interlocking “Double G” motif, which is incorporated into the bezel. There are two models, each with stainless-steel cases that measure 42 mm in diameter. One has a sun-brushed finish and a black dial; the other has a black PVD finish and a dark yellow dial. The minimalist dials with the Gucci' logo at 12 o’clock are enlivened by circular-grained surfaces that recall the grooves on a vinyl record. Detailed R&D – yielding six patents – was necessary to properly shield the movement from the compass' magnetism and allow a swift opening of the top part to reveal the compass underneath. As a result, the watch is obviously thick – 12 mm – but the 39 mm case size partly makes up for that. In addition, it is divinely light, having been manufactured in both aluminu
Speedmaster moon watch
On aatime they are advertising the Omega Speedmaster moon watch but have 2 different versions- 3570.50.003573.50.00Both watches look identical on the site but there is a 400 difference in price. The only difference I can see it that it states that the 3573 model is a day/date version but I have never seen a day/date on this watch and the pictures they post do not show any day/date.Can anyone shed some light on what the differences are?
