The Longines Heritage Diver 1967 (Live Pics & Pricing)
Over the past few years, Longines has done a particularly fine job reviving its rather interesting past. As one can clearly see when watching the likes of a mega-collector Alfredo Paramico wax poetically about the brand, it is clear there is much to work with. This year at Basel, we saw some nice, reasonably priced and well designed classics brought back to life. Here is the Heritage Diver 1967. 1 OF 6 This bordeaux-bezeled beauty takes inspiration from a watch initially produced and sold back in 1967, originally powered by the excellent caliber 30CH. Now, the diving chronograph is revived in 42 mm featuring the Calibre L688.2, a column-wheel chrono made by ETA exclusively for Longines. The 13¼ line caliber has a power reserve of 54 hours. 2 OF 6 The case back features the masked man it did back in the late '60s, and gives the piece a nice retro feel. The entirely steel watch is water resistant to 30 bar, or 300 meters, which means someone could i
Regretting Speedy Date purchase
I just bought this watch from a coworkerHe needed the money and the price was right, so I bought it and thoughtI'd give it to my wife, but upon close inspection I really don't like the model that much and I thought I'd put it on colorful NATOs for hee to wear, but just realized the lug width is 19mm! Not that many options...I'm torn between sticking to the plan and giving it to her (a very affordable way of spreading the watch fever and get her of my back for a future purchase) or flipping which I believe I can do relatively quick and at a nice profit...Not sure what kind of comments to expect, mainly just venting
Omega Seamaster AD Service
has anyone here ever serviced their Omega Seamaster for a screw-in crown? my crown cannot be screwed in because it is worn off....therefore i cannot take it under water. how much does it normally cost? my local AD said it is $300 to fix it....i prefer to buy a new one.
Daytona vs AP Royal Oak
I have my eye on the 116500LN but will need to pay grey market prices or alternatively an AP RO 15400ST black dial.It terms of functionality I'd likely use the date more than a chrono. Aesthetically I love both, my wife prefers the uniqueness of the AP.Given the grey market prices on the 116500LN i feel opting for the RO makes more sense in terms of finishing I will receive for the price but I'm still conflicted.Opinions welcome, particularly if someone owns both!
So this is year of gmt next year subs??
thoughts??rolex and tudor both releasing new gmts.
