Perrelet Double Rotor Turbine Watch Collection
One of Perrelet's signature complications is offering various watches with two rotors - one on the back of the watch, and one on the front. After years of simply having the cool looking rotor oscillating on the face of watches, they started to get a bit more creative. The most recent iteration for a men's watch is this Turbine collection. Designed after the turbine on a jet engine, moving the watch around has the turbine vanes spinning as though the watch was about to take off.Other companies and played with this concept as a propeller, but Perrelet is taking it to the next level with the jet engine look. Cleverly hidden in the rear of the vanes are weights that help the assembly spin, but to the wearer's eye, everything look symmetrical. The turbine is crafted from 12 blades of titanium. Hidden between the spinning blades are luminous hour markers. To enhance legibility, the chapter ring of the dial includes minute markers and further hour indicators. The look is really sensational. A Great Brunch Gathering
Ben, Jeff and my family met up today at the Greenhouse Ritz Carlton Singapore for its famous Sunday Vintage Champagne Brunch. Free flow of Moet Chandon, assorted beers, whisky, cocktails, and unlimited serving of lobsters, foie gras, oysters, beef, cheese, and many more other finger-licking good food, the brunch was really a fulfilling one (literally), especially when the company was merry Of course, how can there be no watch-talk among WIS? My wife and I were on our APs, while Jeff had chosen to wear his IWC Portofino 8 Days and Ben his recently acquired IWC Portuguese Yatch Club RG. These favorite timepieces did nothing but elevated the entire experience of our gathering We are planning for our next outing
Planet Ocean Good Planet GMT vs. Bullhead
Recently I had the opportunity to look at, and handle, the Seamaster Planet Ocean Good Planet GMT and limited edition Bullhead and I'm curious - which watch would you pick (ignoring the price difference)? The unique shape of the Bullhead is very interesting to me but, on the flip side, I also find the blue and orange colour combination of the Good Planet very attractive. This is even more so if you consider Good Planet with the blue rubber strap.Max
Question about stickers...
Just kidding...these stickers came off almost 80 years ago!Getting together with my college theater group for our yearly black tie shindig, and this is the go-to piece. I don't get to wear it much, so it's always a pleasure to break it out. Have a great weekend, all Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
