My new favorite watch is here: 3291-50 X-33
Well, the most recent purchase is usually my favorite one. So now for some honeymoon pics:Wait, not till tomorrow when there is light.
5270 vs 5970
5270 vs 5970, Which watch do you prefer? Just like to know how do you think?
My new Patek Philippe 5111G.
Hi Gents, first I want to express my thanks for all your help and expert advise on my recent thread looking for a bona fide dress watch. I've looked at the IWC Portuguese 7-day, new JLC master calendar, as well as the Calavatra line such as the 5119G, 5127G, and the 5196G to name a few. But it was love at first sight when I saw the Gondolo 5111G-001 at my AD recently. It was absolutely gorgeous and in unworn condition. This is a piece that you certainly don't see too often. I especially love it's modern interpretation of the art deco style and it's old-time craftsmanship. So without too much fanfare, here it is on my wrist today. PS: This will my last incoming for a long while....
Well, Merry Christmas to me! (pictures)
Here's the story: I have had my eye on Panerai for awhile now, but hadn't really been able to pinpoint something I really had to have. I was thinking about the 676 for awhile, as I liked several aspects of it.I liked the sandwich dial, the sunburst dial, the exhibition caseback, the small seconds dial, the crown guard and the size.Let me be more specific on size: Whenever I tried on a more traditionally sized Panerai, it always felt too large and clunky for me. I don't have large wrists. I liked the look of the large Panerai, but it always felt like it was too much. So, I thought the 676 was a fair compromise.Fast forward to Saturday, December 15th. I went to my local jeweler to take another look at the 676. The employee I work with (who is AWESOME) said to me, You know, I think I know your tastes, and I want you to look at something else while you're here. Then, she pulled it out: A PAM729. I immediately fell in love with it. I couldn't believe it. I had seen it in pictures online but
need help again 217 or 368?
I love the two and want to sell some of my watches to finance this, want to sell 028 brand new, Cartier and Breitling not new, the 217 dial is great and it's a legend, but in very good state 14.000 euros, 368 around 11.000, but 368 is titanium and 8 day panerai movement, where 217 is just ETA, don't care about future prices, just want to know what you guys think, both make me go crazy...
