Longines Avigation Type A-7 Watch
Allow us to introduce the Longines Avigation Type A-7, a new monopusher chronograph with an offset dial design meant to recall Longines' rich history in aviation watches. This new chronograph has been released as a modern interpretation of a design from the 1930's that carried the US Army designation of "Type A-7" suggesting it has been specifically created with Army pilots in mind. The Type A-7 employs a 47mm stainless steel case that allows for a large and legible dial design that allowed pilots to easily and quickly check the time or chronograph. Additionally, the Type A-7 features an over sized crown and integrated monopusher chronograph control which means the 30 minute chronograph is simple to use (much like a stop watch) and the crown and pusher system can easily be used even when a pilot is wearing gloves.Inside, the Type A-7 features the same L788.2 column wheel chronograph movement used within the L27764213 Monopusher Chronograph we saw in Paris earlier this year (seen below).
Chopard Mille Miglia GMT Chrono Watch
For 2012 Chopard once again comes out with a new Mille Miglia watch. This time it's a GMT chronograph as a limited edition. According to Chopard, the Mille Miglia represents "consistently reinvented perfection". That sounds pretty lofty. I would go with "consistently renovated". That better represents how Chopard makes slows changes and visual enhancements to the core design. While these are expensive watches, I've always been happy with them when it comes to look, comfort, quality, and utility. The Mille Miglia GMT Chrono is an evolution on a design that we all know. Tweaks here are interesting. Let's look at the back of the watch first. Usually there would be a sapphire crystal caseback window. Given that the watch contains a modified 7750 - that we've all see before - Chopard decided to make a solid caseback. They did it with a nice Mille Miglia race engraving surrounded by a ring of perlage. I don't hide the fact that I love perlage, so this design feature appeals to me. There was a
Storing watch with crown pulled out
If watches are displayed in stores and or transported with the crown pulled out, should you not store your own watches in the same manner ?What is the real reason for pulling out the crown ?

Daytona Advice Needed
I currently have a 116520 White Dial. I have an option to get a New Ceramic Black Dial 1165500. For those of you that own or owned 116520 and 116500 either white or black, and you have to choose, which one you prefer and why. Those of you that sold 116520 to get 116500, any regrets? If I pass, it will be a while for next opportunity as there are a number of people on the list. I don’t want to flip the 116500 as I value opportunity from the AD.Thanks
