Historical Perspectives: Your Complete Guide To The Watches Of United States Presidents
On this President’s Day, we thought we would pull together as comprehensive a list as we can of US presidential watches. We're talking all the way from Washington to Obama, from Timexes to a Patek Philippe. Some loved watches and others simply wore them out of necessity. You might be surprised with what some of our presidents had sitting in their pockets and on their wrists. We hope you enjoy it. George Washington (1st President) President Washington owned a Swiss pocketwatch by an unknown maker (later gifting it to a friend), a Jean-Antoine Lépine pocketwatch, and a James McCabe pocketwatch.Unknown Swiss Quarter Repeater Pocketwatch 2 OF 111 Photo from NAWCC. Washington acquired a gold pocketwatch with a quarter repeater (it can chime the time down to 15 minute increments), presumably in 1775, and it is believed to be of Swiss origin as the case has a Neuchâtel hallmark. On the inside movement cover is the engraving: "1775

Trade advice needed
The iconic Lange Datograph is within my reach but I have to trade in my mint 5110P plus 10k cash. The Dato is in mint condition but 7+ years old and has not been serviced. My 5110P has been serviced by Patek 3 years ago. Thoughts?
Pepsi OR Pepsi -- Rolex and Tudor
There are going to be lots of post arguing about this topic. Already there is a common theory that Rolex wants the consumer to buy a Tudor GMT instead of any other Omega at that price point. I have to say I want a Rolex Pepsi and since they will be so difficult to get and expensive I have plenty of time until I'm ready to buy one. That being said the Tudor GMT is much more advanced than something like a Rolex GMT Batman or Black due to the new movement and longer power reserve. IMOThe Tudor GMT is an attractive style/look/COPY of a vintage Rolex and I have to say when I look at the Tudor it more closely resembles the vintage Pepsi I sold when compared to the new Rolex Pepsi. Maybe I'm trying to talk myself into a Tudor GMT for under 4K instead of working hard, saving and fighting for a Rolex GMT.What do you guys think? I know my comments about the BLNR are going to piss everyone off but that's my opinion.
Explorer I Mk I Hands Replaced at RSC
I read on another forum that a RSC replaced the hands on a 214270 Mk I with the updated Mk ii hands to get it up to current spec. Anyone else heard of this?
