A. Lange & S?hne Opens Hong Kong Boutique
After the launch of A. Lange & S?hne shops in Dresden, Shanghai, Tokyo and Seoul, the brand from Saxony has opened its fifth boutique, in Hong Kong. Lange’s goal for the boutique is to bring the precision, quality and ambiance of traditional German watchmaking to its customers in an intimate and in-depth manner. A. Lange & S?hne was founded by Dresden watchmaker Ferdinand A. Lange in 1845. Lange crafted pocket watches of exceptional quality that are today coveted by collectors. However, the family business was expropriated in the aftermath of World War II. Four decades later, after the wall came down, Walter Lange, the great-grandson of Ferdinand A. Lange, resumed the work of his forefathers, and today the brand has regained its place among the leading manufacturers of precision timepieces. Forged Carbon: Outside tough and inside not so?
Presently trying to get one of the remaining FC Divers - I have been speaking with the local AP rep (who sounded credible but I take his info with a grain of salt).He told me, that the FC cases are pretty tough at the outside, but more inside - the material is pretty grainy and soft.He told me, that AP replaces casemids and bezels for special prices because the material can't be polished ( I am sure that he's right on that).Now, I intend to wear the watch for some decades and would be disappointed, if the case gets softer when the edges are slightly worn off - so I wanted to ask the experts here if anyone has further infos on this topic.I've also heard about corrosion on FC but failed to find anything futher on that as well.Thanks!!!

Alternative straps for Daytona C
Love the bracelet, but since my SDc is best with it's bracelet, i want to -maybe only sometimes- be able to put the Daytona on a strap.Could you please let me have your input and inspiration?Something that works for me: (snatched from instagram)My watch currently:-via iPhone
