Watches NEWS
Alain Silberstein offers a variety of watches that are a bit more "powerful man
If you're looking for something a bit more sophisticated, Alain Silberstein offers a variety of watches that are a bit more "powerful man on a mission"-esque. You'll find round black stainless steel dials with silver-tone bezels, and function pushers that appear on four sides, allowing you to control all complications. If only life's complications could be controlled just as simply.
X33 Canvas Strap
Hey Guys, Anyone out there have an X33 canvas strap on a speed master pro? Both have 20mm lugs, but was curious how it fit around the watch head on the speedie pro. Thanks,E
Coffee table Books on Patek
I am in the midst of building a nice little library of books covering those watches owned in past or present. One notable absentee is a PP Nautilus or PP Steel watches. In keeping with their watch namesakes they seem to cost a fortune and On the basis It will be an occasional read it's not worth the money.I keep looking on eBay but have drawn blanks. Has anyone out there got a book they may be looking to sell or have tips were to look.
Offered by the Authorised Dealer
Recently I have been tempting by the beauty of The great nautilus 5712 blue dial. So I put my name on the waiting list at the AD in Bangkok about 3 weeks ago. I was called this morning about the incoming of the beautiful 5712. But....the thing is I was told (kind of being forced) to buy the 5712 together with the Hublot Classic fusion which I have never had my eyes on the model and the brand. If I do not agree on the offer, 5712 would be offered to the other customers. Just curious, as I never have an experience buying Nautilus with an Ad. Is this a normal procedure for an AD to deal with such a rare and hot item like a Nautilus? Has anyone experience the same situation?Should I go for it or pass this beauty because I don't like being forced to buy another watch that I am not interested?PS.. the price I was offered was the full list price, no discount, or whatsoever that makes me feel a little better about the deal. Appreciate all your readings.
what to check when buying a new rolex?
Apologies, I'm sure it must have been asked before.I'm going to buy a new rolex from an AD I haven't used before. I'm sure they're reputable, or at least, I assume they are and they're linked from Rolex AD site. What would be sensible due diligence to do at the shop when I pick up the watch?Compare serial number on the paperwork with the watch (is it in an easy to read place on the watch?)Any other common sense stuff should do?
