Attend The Ohio NAWCC Watch And Clock Show On May 18th
We fully support the mission of the National Association Of Watch And Clock Collectors (NAWCC), which is to spread the word about watches (and clocks) and get more people interested in them. On May 18th in Ohio they are having their North Coast Regional Watch and Clock show. Basically you go there to buy, sell, and appreciate lots of different watches and clocks. Deals are to be had, and there will be lots of vintage pieces. Of course you need to be in the Cleveland area to participate, but if you are then you should stop by. It only costs $5, and that price helps keep the association going strong.Details about the show direct from NAWCC below...Details from NAWCCNorth Coast Regional Watch and Clock ShowSaturday, May 18, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 12 noonWhere: Lakeland Community College, Kirtland, OH, Cleveland area, just off I90 at SR 306 exitAddress: 7700 Clocktower Blvd., Kirtland, OH 44094Price: Admission is $5.About: Buy rare timepieces, get expert advice and browse 100 to 200 tables of
IWC Announces Updated, Smaller Ingenieur Watches
Did you get your fill of pilot's watches from IWC in 2012? Good, as they have directed their 2013 efforts towards the Ingenieur and have launched a series of new models that commemorate their historic line of anti-magnetic watches that were originally designed for duty on the wrists of French engineers (le science!). The new Ingenieur models include both three-handers and a selection of chronographs. Here we will take a look at the three-handers, in which IWC has announced two very different Ingenieur variations. The first, and possibly most surprising, is the new ref 3239 Ingenieur Automatic which is built around a comparatively tiny 40mm platform. Most modern Ingenieurs are 46mm wide (and fairly tall) but this 40mm version returns to an old-school sweet spot and is a cuff-friendly 10mm thick. The underlying message here is that IWC wants to offer up some competition to the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and Patek Philippe Nautilus. As I've never really taken to the trend of large watches (
Incoming......or not!
My friendly AD delivered me a Novelty Rose Gold which I wasn't quite ready for as I have had a few other incomings recently. I have owned one before (albeit not the newer 26401 version), and of course it is a fabulous watch. Still all stickered up etc..Should I keep it or sell it? Anyone want it if the latter?
Does anyone have an Aquanaut on a steel bracelet?
Pictures? What are your thoughts on steel vs. rubber strap for looks and comfort?
