Bored on a rainy day. Shot a video of the new AP
Working from home today, and constantly distracted by looking at the ROOC, I decided to take a camera and shoot a bush league video showing how it reacts to different viewing angles and lighting. Will get a better cam next time. Was trying to how how the bezel refracts light differently at different angles, and show some of the milling we all have come to love about AP in the steel pieces. Also next time, will shoot one outside, the markers and bezel react differently altogether when under blue skies, as well as the dial, it is beautiful.I thought pictures don't do this watch justice, and was hoping video would, but it still falls short. Just thought posting this up might help other people in their searches, I sure wish I had more content to look at than the same 15 pictures of this watch on the net.Where possible, try to up the video quality for best resolution, try 720p if possible.
Rolex? Omega.
I'm sure this has been discussed before, I just thought I'd post it anyway, for those of us that've missed it. Oh, and I chose the omega forum instead of the Rolex because I thought people here would appreciate it more. Until the next Bond movie at least. .youtube/watch?v=zQg2d...eature=related
POLL: Which one? PP 5905p or Rolex DD40p
Both 2015 Basel releases have me smitten (at least the photos do). Which do you prefer? The PP 5905pThe Rolex DD40p
3700/1 vintage / Beyer vintage division
I do not recall who it was on this forum that was looking into the 5711 and /or the 3700 and 3800.I just wanted to let you guys know that Beyer in Zurich has a vintage division with which they do not advertise anywhere. They source pieces from existing clients, know their history, have the watches completely overhauled at PP and issued with new Archive records. There is no price list and no published inventory so you have to contact them but their inventory is changing regularly. They have a big catalog of pieces they have but you have to either go there and browse it through or ask them on the phone to flip through it with you. Its not digitized: paper version only. When I was there last they just received a 3700 fom 1978 with grey Beyer dial and bracelet. There was no price yet as it yet had be sent for the revision. They had a rose gold enamel (grand feu I think it was) calatrava of which only 30 exist, with strap and the rosegold gold bracelet, original to that model but unused/unpurch
Is this a good deal?
Friend has offered to sell me a submariner 116618 black for 17,500 I don't know much about it since I'm an Omega guy normally. Seems like a decent deal just looking online but is it really?
