Watches NEWS
Is the 26120st being discontinued
I saw a 26120st at the AD in Abu Dhabi yesterday. Incredible watch. It felt very good on my wrist as well.I'm not in the market for a new watch at the moment, but the salesman said they wouldn't be getting anymore of these in. Are they being discontinued? The sticker price was 73K AED (about 22,300 USD).
Royal Oak Petite?
Anyone have details on this piece? What movement....it's probably quartz..which would stink because if it was a mechanical movement I would seriously consider one for the wife.
odd coincidence
I used to fool around with casting precious metals, and about 15 years ago, maybe a bit more, I made myself this ring in the photos. The ring for me was inspired by machined off-road after market motorcycle parts, as I did a bit of racing back then. I put holes in the ring just as an homage to the lightening of parts by drilling, and when I finished it, I didn't want it to have a completed buffed shiny look. Instead I gave it a brushed finish and I had cut some bevels into it, these I decided to polish to a mirror brightness. The rings I designed I liked to have surprises, so on the bottom (palm) side of the ring I mounted a small diamond that could be a secret for the wearer only. After I bought my ROO I remembered this ring that I made, I just dug it up and I thought it was interesting how the design elements matched up. The choice of straight brushed finish on flat areas, and then mirror polish on the bevels was identical. The eight sided bezel echoed the octagon that forms the table
My 5070 Accuracy-Excellent
After two days of ownership, I know why the sales associate reacted the way they did after I asked whether Patek watches fell within the COSC standards. They said the Patek precision is so fine and that results in extremely accurate results. Mine is perfect after 2 days (set using time.is) . Forgive me, I'm an engineer....
AD Damaged my bracelet
I went to Rolex AD to resize my hulk. But they damaged 2 screws. I bought it back and they replaced screws. But now when I get home I notice that the end of the screw pin on the opposite side are not matching with link. There not flush. Feel devastated because now I feel my Rolex is devalued. What would you guys suggest I do. Would Rolex help me if I contact them. It's still under warranty and I have the receipt for link removal but I do not want to go back to that AD. Thanks
