New Ressence Type 3 Watch With Oil Temperature Gauge
While the meaning of unique is so watered down that it challenges "in-house" for sheer over-use, I have trouble thinking of a more appropriate way to describe Ressence watches. I would be surprised if anyone reading this wasn't aware, at least visually, of their Ressence Type?1 and Type?3 models which, in living up to the brand's tag line, have evolved "beyond hands." Announced just ahead of Baselworld 2015, Ressence has reworked their Type?3 model to include a temperature gauge to monitor the oil that fills the upper case element.Much like the original Ressence Type?3, the new Type?3 is 44mm x 15mm in size with a three-part case that is essentially two sapphire domes mounted to a titanium spine. The spine also forms the lugs and can be had in matte or polished finish, each with a DLC coating. Thanks to an extensive use of titanium, the total weight of the new Ressence Type?3 is just 75g, mounted on a leather strap with a matching titanium buckle. The magic of the Ressence Type?3 design
Panerai PAM339 Radiomir Composite Marina Militare 8 Giorni Watch
Comparing the watch releases of SIHH 2010 and Baselworld 2010, I would have to say that for the most part I was more impressed with the releases at SIHH, and it was a significantly smaller show. Why that is I am not sure, but here is another one of the good things that I spotted. This isn't just another Panerai watch, but rather the PAM339 in a special ceramic case. While it doesn't surprise me to see Panerai going ceramic, it just sort of happened without notice.Panerai doesn't even call their material ceramic really, but rather "Composite." Why? Not sure, there must be some sneaky marketing decision. One of the reasons likely has to do with the fact that Panerai uses a different type of ceramic. It is very light, and stated to be much harder than standard ceramics. The hardness is a little bit harder that standard zirconia ceramics, and way harder than steel. In terms of weight, Panerai Composite weighs less than titanium, and just a bit more than aluminum. In fact, the material is s
AP boutique in Beijing china
Was in Beijing China last week and visited the AP boutique. They have all the new pieces available. One thing I found out is that they offer 8 years warranty and with 9% VAT refund, seems like pretty good deal. Also, there used to be 3-4 ADs in the city, and they were all closed. I guess AP has begun to aggressively implementing their new strategy of closing down ADs and opening their own boutiques.
Thoughts on 15300OR
What are you thoughts on the 15300OR black or white dial model? I prefer the black personally but looking more on feedback from owners or previous owners of this model. Don't see many pics or comments of forum. Can it be dressed up and down or its too flashy? Seems resale price of a MINT one is in the same range as the SS 15202 Jumbo. Also which would you rather have, this vs a 15202 jumbo at the same price. FYI. I also have a 5711 and a Rolex sports model in the collection but I like all my pieces to be versatile. I have some hesitation. Not sure if it's too dressy.
Breitling Navitimer A23322
Hi all, I have been searching for a Breitling Navitimer A23322. The one with the black dial, regular markers (no numerals), and leather strap. Must have paperwork. I've searched eBay and posted ads on some other forums, but no luck. Let me know if anyone has any leads. Thanks.
