Seamaster Planet Ocean?
Hello everybody,I'm thinking to buy a Seamaster Planet Ocean with the orange leather Bracelet but don't know what size. I tried the Breitling Super Ocean Heritage who has a 46mm case and liked the size of the case! I would appreciate any input on rather to go with the 42mm case or the XL. Like I said before I liked the 46mm Breitling but never saw or tried the Omega XL (45mm) and since I probably will order the watch it would be nice to get your opinions especially how the sizes will feel at the wrist. If you could post pics of your Planet Ocean as well that would be awesome! Thanks a lot in advance
New to Omega
Hi everyone,Mostly stay around the Rolex threads, but today one of my friends was talking about how he wanted an Omega. And to be honest my Omega knowledge is pretty limited. His requirements were white face, a dressy watch, and preferably under 3k. I took a look briefly and think that the only model that fits this description is the aqua terra. Do you guys have any other suggestions, and are there any trusted online sites that sell Omega? Thanks in advance.-Adam
Incoming! DD40 YG!! Lifetime dream achieved!
A crown for every achievement 🙏Finally achieved boyhood dream of attaining a Day-Date in yellow gold - my dream watch. Got a great deal from UKAD which was not far off DavidSW -prices have flown since last year! Meaning it made more sense to just buy from AD. For some reason my iPhone pics are deemed too big to be posted but I have some great Photos to share if the limits can be lifted. Whole experience took over 2 hours, had a great chat about watches, Rolex supply & SS (most of the rumours stayed here were confirmed and also include PM, not just SS!), price negotiation, great coffee/ snacks, some freebies and made a great friend (have been working on the deal for a couple months). It's a nice reward after some extremely challenging times both financial, work and healthwise (had to sell majority of watch collection - painful!) so great to ride it out, keep fighting, never give up and finally see the rewards. With great love honour and respect to all the brothers and sister
Brushing PCLs in NY/NJ area
Does anyone know of a reputable place that has brushed their PCLs in the northern N.J. or NYC area? Toying with the idea of doing this one day soon but want to go somewhere reputable...
Insightful Rolex event last night (UK relevance)
Had the absolute pleasure of being invited along to a Scottish Rolex & Tudor event last night.Aside from the delicious dinner and free flowing champagne and wine all night (for which I'm suffering today), there was a large display of the Basel 2017 releases (a mix of fully functional and display models) and many other references to try throughout the evening.I believe that the event was a joint Rolex and AD affair, with the opportunity to speak to both the AD's owners (one of whom I was sitting beside during dinner) and Rolex directly, and in a quite frank and open manner. Some of the key points which may be of interest (and confirming much of what we understand) as discussed were:1) Rolex is not happy about people buying to flip and make a quick profit2) AD's are indeed under pressure from Rolex to try and prevent that happening and are mindful of their agency (and retaining it) That's not as bad as it sounds, but it does make perfect sense for an AD not to upset a particular man
