A New Edition Of Salomons' Breguet (1747-1823) Book Now For Sale, Benefitting The HODINKEE Fund
Abraham-Louis Breguet was an illustrious watchmaker responsible for a plethora of inventions, including the tourbillon, equation of time, the first wristwatch, the first reliable automatic watches (perpetuelles), and the first gong spring for repeaters. It is hard to imagine what the horological world would look like today without Breguet’s contributions. Sir David Salomons was one of Breguet's greatest collectors and historians, and his 1921 book Breguet is considered one of the finest texts on the watchmaker's life and works. Only 1,000 copies were produced almost a century ago, and few have survived. The book has since been out of print and unavailable to the public. Which are the most collectible Breitlings?
Hi, just wondering which are the most collectible Breitlings?
Father and Son Pic
My son is home for the weekend so I had to take a photo of our Planet Ocean's together. They really are great timepieces. I love the look of them.
Warranty claim
Hi I have an omega seamaster professional chrono and it was losing time and the pins on the strap where working themselves loose. So under warranty I put it in to be repaired at the omega boutique in Glasgow on the 17th of February. But I still do not have it back this to me is an incredible amount of time to have a watch for a fairly simple repair. Should I expect some compensation for this?
Ladies Deville Prestige 4375.71.00 Advice
I want to buy my wife a watch. She does not like Rolex's in her self-imposed price range of $5000 - 6500. We went out and looked this weekend and of course everything she did like was $10,000 or better but she does not want to spend that much. She is very frugal I am the one saying if you love it, buy it! Then we saw an Omega that was quite nice and in her range it was the Deville Prestige 4375.71.00 she decided to think about it but I think I might sneak off and buy it. It looked really good on her and she did really like it.I was just wondering what was the verdict on this watch?
