Elegant Accessories: TAG Heuer Racer Smartphone
TAG Heuer has built its reputation as a watch brand largely on its close association with auto racing. Now, as the 150-year-old Swiss company continues its growth from watchmaker into lifestyle brand, it introduces the Racer, which it calls the first Swiss luxury touch-screen smartphone made entirely from materials used in auto racing and aviation. The TAG Heuer Racer joins the brand’s existing Link and Meridiist along with Ulysse Nardin’s Chairman in the small but growing niche of Swiss-watch-branded luxury smartphones. The materials used in the Racer among them grade 2 titanium, carbon fiber, black PVD, 316L stainless steel, and rubber were all first used in professional motorsports and aeronautics. Thanks to everyone on this and main forum for their advise. Was able to score a good deal on the 682, and for me it's a 42mm or nothing given my cursed small wrists! Second day on the wrist and super comfortable. Was debating between this and Hulk but I have a SubC date (LN) and will wait for Hulk prices to come back to reality once Rolex starts supplying ADs in a few months. Happy new year everyone !Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
How rare is a Rolex?
I'm currently sitting here in a brewery in Denver, Colorado and I'm the only one here with a Rolex on; I looked around, ha.I tend to look at the wrist of just about anyone I pass by or sit next to while I'm out and about and I'm starting to feel like it's not all that common to run into someone with a Rolex, or otherwise.I'm sure the concentration of Rolex and/or other luxury goods is mostly centralized in a handful of locations and, therefore, more noticeable. But it's still surprising to see so many naked wrists, so frequently. With the amount of watches that Rolex produces each year, it's a little surprising. But at the end of the day, it's still a privilege to be able to wear something that a lot of folks may never get the chance to own.Anyone else feel this way?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
