Roger Dubuis Chronograph La Mongasque Big Number
At SIHH the Roger Dubuis booth presented a casino look, consistent with the launch of the new men’s collection La Mongasque. The piece that best represents the high-stakes gambling theme is the limited edition Chronograph Big Number which sports the classic casino colors black, red and green. The 44mm rose gold case recalls the brand’s popular Sympathie line. Behind the roulette-inspired dial lies the self-winding RD680 movement which has been designed, developed and produced by Manufacture Roger Dubuis. The double-pusher column-wheel chronograph features a central chronograph hand, 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock, and small seconds at 9 o'clock. The movement, with 261 parts and 42 jewels, is 6.30mm thick and beats at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vph). The movement is adjusted in five positions and has received the Poin?on de Genve (Geneva Seal).Produced in a limited edition of 128 pieces, the Chronograph La Mongasque Big Number is priced at SFr.37,000.The Roger Dubuis boo
Can Men Wear Pink? Chopard Gran Turismo XL Racing In Pink Watch
I put this question before you now: Can a man wear a pink watch and retain his masculinity? I made fun of the first guy I saw wearing a "salmon" colored shirt. But, today, it isn't that uncommon. Worn properly, and in the right style, pink isn't always out-of-place. So I wonder, has the time come when a man can get away with wearing a pink watch? When I write about men's watches in white people always fight about whether they would wear them. While one guy can easily pull off a white watch, it definitely isn't for everyone. I expect that even fewer men would be wiling to try it with something pink. Here is what I think: If you take the right type of fairly masculine watch and make it pink, at least a few guys will be able to pull it off. Which brings me to this new-for-2011 limited edition piece from Chopard.Apparently the wife of Chopard's CEO wanted this to happen. It is a limited edition of 1000 piece pink version of the Chopard Mille Miglia Gran Turismo XL watch. Named "Racing in Pi
26320 vs 26331
Because of the rock your 26320 thread, I saw the 26331 in blue and thought what an amazing watch... Might need to trade my black 26320 in for this baby. Stopped by the ap boutique in nyc, saw the blue 26331 in person, what an amazing blue, but the sub dials under the light just didn't do it for me. I actually preferred mine on how the the silver trimmed sub dials reflected the light. The reflection of the silver made it unreadable for me. I can't describe why but the 26331 seemed alittle bigger.I also checked out the titanium roc, now that is truely a stunning piece. The dial caught the light right showing off the waffling and texture, the sub dials added great contrast without being overwhelming and the offset date really wasn't noticeable. The best part of that watch was the bracelet, it had some redesign so that it flexed more yet looked the same. The bracelet draped so much better on my smaller wrist( dare I say it kinda like a Rolex jubilee , w weight). Great day in the boutique a
Omega speedy 3570.50 chrono's defect? Help needed!!!!!!
This is a new watch from AD and it has been with me since new year eve. when i push the start button of the chrono the hand moves a little to the left before it engages, the movement is obvious and i never seen it happening on any video of similar watches, i took it to the dealer tonight and i checked similar watches there and it did not do that. before going into the conversation with the AD my question is:Is it normal? did any one experience something like that?I videoed the watch and am posting the link here, please excuse the quality of the video.https://.youtube/watch?v=awQ1TpsxnMcAny experts who can identify this defect please chime in, or is it defect to start with?
DayDate40 or 5711a ?
So I posted this in the Patek sub forum, but wanted to see what the Rolex forum thinks. My AD (and longtime friend) believes he will be able to get me a 5711a white dial sometime this year. Nothing written in stone and of course with the current crazy market and shortages, it may or may not happen. The DayDate40 would be yg with sliver deconstructed romans. This would be for my wife, she did not really know much about watches before meeting me, now she's just as enthusiastic about them as I am.She currently wears a 116613 two tone blue submariner as her daily watch, and also has a Cartier santos, which is also two tone. She has always liked the 5711, ever since I showed a picture to her many years ago, however we were not in the position to buy back then. She also really likes the DayDate and has tried it on numerous times. She has tried on a 5711r, but has never seen the 5711a in person. We both wear our watches everyday and try not to baby them, however she has said that she probably
