Auction season is upon us and starting off the year with a bang is the upcoming Sotheby’s Hong Kong sale on October 6th. This year the auction features a variety of watches from modern to vintage (including this awesome Patek Philippe reference 2523 that we released here). But one noticeable change is happening in the selection of modern timepieces at auction – a name we here at HODINKEE are happy to see is MB&F. Planet Ocean 8500 rubber strap and deployant MSRP
Does anyone happen to know the MSRP for the rubber strap and deployant buckle for the 45mm 8500 PO? I know what they go for on ofrei, but might be in the area of some dealers next week and if any of them had the straps in stock I wanted to know what the price comparison would be. TIA!

What Do You Think About The Olympic Offerings..
I think that Omega has gone overboard on the LE and other gimmicks to sell watches.....including the latest Beijing offerings..However, I do like the dials of some of them.. The 5 sub dials that look like the Olympic rings is interesting, and the AT tri-compac chorono face is nice...I just can't get past the silly rings hanging on the end of the second hand.. I feel the same way about the 007.It takes a classy timepiece. One that Omega is trying to climb the ladder back into the luxury watch category, and gives it a Mickey Mouse flavor..
