Historical Perspectives: A Look At The Horological Society Of New York, Owners Of A Unique Watchmaking Library, And The Oldest Horological Society In The United States
Twenty-one years ago the Bulova School of Watchmaking in New York City closed its doors. As the staff was cleaning and packing, they came across an extensive library of horological books and ephemera. Some of the books were hand-bound in leather, adorned in gold leaf, with personal dedications from the authors. Others were extremely old, dating from the 18th century. In addition, they found hand-calligraphed meeting minutes and accounting records. All of these items comprised an incredible horological resource and they were not sure what to do with them. The staff needed to be out of the building at the end of the day and hand over the keys. Urgent calls were made and that same day a large van arrived to retrieve the library. The books were quickly piled into the van and driven off. Got this BNIB a few days ago from David (thanks again buddy). There's so much to love about this model! The new case size, seconds hand, dark date wheel, and clasp to name a few.Of course you've gotta love the 3120 movement. I'm a sucker for APs blue dials, so I had no hesitation with color options.I use my 15202 as more of a dressy watch and wanted something to share daily wrist time with my LVC.Here goes..................

PO GMT vs. Rolex GMT
I was trolling around the Omega website today as I've been contemplating an addition and I really like to look of the new PO. I was looking at the 8900 with the black and orange bezel when I stumbled across the new GMT with the black and white bezel. I'm not sure if the size and the color scheme really agree with me - I've also been eyeing the BLNR.So, maybe someone can help me with this as I've never quite understood Rolex's reasoning here. With all these other great dive/GMT watches out there with ratings of 600m, why is the Rolex GMT line still at 100m? Granted, it really doesn't make a difference given my general daily activity, but more a curiosity.

I wore a 93160 for years and years and have nothing bad to say about them...Yes yes I know, many people didn't like them...Thought them cheap, flimsy etc etc etc...Not me...I always thought them to be just fine...But I must say, the bracelet on my DeepSea is a marvel...Why Rolex doesn't use this rascal on all their watches is a mystery to me...
