Exotic Looks, Exotic Performance, Un-exotic PriceThe 2011 Lotus Evora
A few months ago I joined a group of journalists and pro driving instructors behind the wheels of several high-zoot sports cars at Laguna Seca racetrack, and on the 18 Mile Drive in Carmel, California. One stood out clearly from the rest C the Lotus Evora. Let’s take a look. The younger among you may know Lotus only through the Elise C a purpose-built track car that offers great fun in small doses, but you would not want to live with one every day. The Elise embodies Colin Chapman's twin virtues of simplicity and lightness, but these do not a comfortable car make. Modern niceties like sound insulation, suspension and storage space have been sacrificed at the altar of performance. The Evora, on the other hand, is a car made to live with.Where the Elise requires inelegant contortions to enter and exit, the Evora offers generous portals and slender sills. A Small Gift...
Hey all,I turned 21 a couple of weeks ago, and my family very kindly gifted me a watch that any self-respecting WIS should have in their collection. I don't need to tell you guys anything about the watch, but as is custom, pics or it didn't happen This is a cool one, shows how the light distorts through the crystal at angles. One of my favourite things about the watch! An Omega within an OmegaA truly excellent claspAnd finally, the wrist shotThanks for lookingChris
Patek 5976 offered to me, help please....
An acquaintance of mine purchased this 5976 from our mutual AD. He finds it to big for his taste now that he can see it in person. He has offered to sell it to me. Here is where it gets interesting. He wants $110k for it ($97 MSRP). At first I was kind of put off by the whole thing but I am told these are trading at a much higher premium in the grey market. He kind of made it sound like he was doing me a favor just so the watch was in permanent hands. So here is my quandary: Do I want the watch given I am not a big person. I like the look of the watch (congrats to anyone that owns it) but opinions on it appreciated. Second does the price and market picture I am describing sound right? Lastly the AD has no idea and the seller is a high profile executive so he isn't a serial flipper type. Thanks.
Switched from Pepsi to Coke for these
Only the sneakerhead TRF members will appreciate this. Favorite sneaker ALL-TIME. Not just favorite jordan. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
