AP FC versus Ceramic question
So, I recently posted a thread that I've been bitten by the AP bug....and it's getting worse!I already had a 15400 blue dial and just received my AP 42mm Elephant from Takuya this week....and now I'm looking at the 26405CE - HELP!Can those of you who have them provide me with feedback on how the piece wears versus the SS case (e.g. scratching, chips, etc.) as I want an all-arounder that I can wear all the time on weekends/holidays.I actually thought about the FC, but I prefer the dial on the ceramic and have read the FC doesn't take wear-and-tear as well...or am I mistaken?Looking forward to your input/feedback/wisdom!

Hi everyone.. Just a quick question. I just 'inherited' a EOD from my FIL and it is in pretty bad condition, rubber pusher need replacement and the PVD coating need complete refurbishment. Just wondering, is there a rubber strap option for this model? The lugs are completely different from our morden day's ROO. What are my options?Btw.. The EOD really reminded me of the BB.. Only if BB have a set of yellow hands, I would have bought one in a heartbeat. Anyway.. Love the yellow on black theme and much prefer ceramic and FC over PVD. Hi everyone, Seeing that with the 5980 and the 5711 this is the Nautilus which gets, IMO, the most love here I thought it needed it's own thread, so all of you who own one don't hesitate to post pics and say what you love about this piece.I love the comfort, so comfy that I even sleep with mine, strange I know but sleep much better with a watch on my wrist The thinness and weight are also great, took me a few days to get used to it as I was coming from bigger heavier watches, my smalest at the time beeing Daytona 116515.Just love the perfect finition, the beautiful grey-blue dialthe moon phase, I know useless but love to have one.Here are a few pics of mine, please show us your's P1000424.JPGP1000400.JPGP1000392.JPG

I visited Razny Jewelers in Chicago this past week. The store is Patek and Rolex only, and only new pieces. The young lady helping me couldn't have been any nicer and more helpful. They had a very nice selection and everything was displayed beautifully. I tried on a 5227R. It was beautiful, but the 39mm diameter was a little big for my taste. It's a worthwhile stop if you're in the area. Cheers,LS.

Really? I may be a newbie on this website, but I've been admiring Patek's for a long, long time. And I still don't get it. A few years ago, the AD's couldn't give these things (Nautilus) away. And now, customers are climbing the walls for them. They haven't changed in style much, over the decades, so what stimulated this craze all of a sudden? For whatever reason, within the last two years, they became sought after. And that stimulates the human nature of COVETING. The more that these became unavailable and dried up, the more the customers wanted them. Greed. This is no longer a case of supply-and-demand; it's a case of supply-and-coveting. And what really entertains me is that one of these recent posts claimed that the Nautilus is the flagship of Patek. Really? When perusing the history of this incredible company, where did it ever mention that this port-hole watch has been the flagship of its hundred-year-plus existence?
