Aquanaut date wheel sticking
Looking for an opinion here. The date wheel on my 5167 Aquanaut sticks from time to time and doesn't roll over fully. Making a minor adjustment to the date will fix it and it works fine most days. I'm not sure if there's a pattern but I think I've noticed this happening around the 17-18-19th of the month.Questions for the forum: 1. Is this a known issue with this movement? 2. I still have time on the warranty. Should I send it in? Only hesitating because Patek says it will be 5 months if work's needed.
My new 5930G
So, I ordered this watch the day it was released at Basel. She just arrived. I was a bit concerned about having two Patek world timers but they are quite a bit different.I really like it a lot. I wouldn't mind it being a little bigger but that's just me.I'm even wearing it today!! Not sitting in the box!!Patek really does blue well!Pix in a second
My First Rolex: SubC ND 114060
I’ll admit that Rolex as a brand was never something on my radar, even while being very into watches for the past ten years. Until about a year ago, Rolex represented people who had more money than sense or wanted to show off. The price did not throw me off since there are plenty of watches that cost more that have been on my radar for a long time; it was more the cache that came with the brand name. I don’t know exactly what changed, but I realized that was all in my head and something about the 114060’s simple, uncluttered dial really appealed to me. It is a watch that can take a beating and still look as good as new.Last weekend (9 days ago) I was fortunate enough to purchase a brand new 114060 from an AD about 45 minutes away from me. There are a number of Rolex AD’s much closer to me, but none of them had any stainless steel sports models in stock, nor could give an estimate when any would be coming in. A few offered to put me on a wait list, and a few othe
What is this on my dial.
I brought this watch about 10 years ago. The only thing I change was the crystal and aftermarket pearl. I just started to wear it. Can someone tell me-Which model this is ?What does it look like on the dial? To me it looks like the hands are flaking off. The specs does move.Is this an aftermarket bezel or just too new for the watchI don't plan on selling it. Just want to get the correct parts replaced before they get too expensive. .Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Combo Rolex vs custom ABP for Daytona
Lucked out and found a brand new, stickered 116509 panda dial on strap at an AD. Had meant to pick one up when the discontinued the dial, but had other commitments at the time and had to pass. The standard strap it comes on is a bit too loose for my liking, even with the clasp adjusted. I know some members have had similar issues and ended up buying the short strap and then mixing the two for a better fit and centered clasp. For those folks - was the colour and grain match between the straps good? Just wondering because the straps would presumably be coming from different dye lots and hides. The other option would be to get a custom strap from ABP Concept. Price wise, not too far off and their reputation seems good.Any input and/or photos regarding either option would be appreciated.
