Movement Hands-On Series Episode 2: A Movement Conceived And Made Entirely By The Same Independent Watchmaker
Welcome to the second installment in our?Movement Hands-On series, an irregular series of articles where we scrutinize and analyze unique and?interesting?calibers.?In part?one, we took a close look at the highly unusual movement of the MB&F HM6 Space Pirate here,?and today, we continue with the work of another - although in some important?ways?very different - independent watchmaker.Whereas the?high-end watch industry has for long been?largely based on?the co-operation between?specialist craftsmen C working either within the company or at external suppliers C when it comes to independents, most all of the tasks are performed in-houseand for just a handful of independent watchmakers, those tasks are performed not by dozens or even a few, but by just one craftsman. Today,?we are looking at AHCI (Acadmie Horlogre des Crateurs Indpendants) member Hungarian independent watchmaker Aaron Becsei's proprietary movement, found in the Bexei Dignitas watch. As was the case with?our first ar

Omega Deployment Buckle
Just a quick question:Does anyone know which Omega deployment buckle is best for 20mm lugs? The 18mm or the 16mm buckle?I would definitely like the buckle to be original Omega but the strap doesn't matter to me...Thanks!
Question about Nautilus Bracelet
Hi guys,Am currently looking into getting a metal bracelet Nautilus. Went to AD today and tried on both SS and Bimetal Nautilus's and both pinched my wrist hairs in that short time trying them on. This is very disheartening as I like the practicalities of a metal bracelet and like the various guises of the Nautilus. However there is no way I will tolerate this pinching. It will drive me nuts. I had the same problem with an old Titanium Seamaster Omega which funny enough had a similar bracelet design to the Nautilus. Wound up getting rid of it. Rolex's on the other hand have never given me a problem. So the question is have any of you noticed this problem? I'm quite reluctant to pull the trigger as a result of this..
Sell my two Rolexes for a Nautilus?
So, I think the PP bug has bitten me. I just got the 5167a (as you my hv read my last post) and really enjoy it. Now, I'm thinking nautilus too, as the SS bracelet wold nicely complement the rubber on the 5167a. However, I feel that if I get the nautilus there would be too much aesthetic overlap with my Rolexes - white SS Daytona and GV. Essentially, the stainless bracelet, PCL, etc, all combine to create a very similar overall look. So, two part question:1) should I sell the Daytona and GV to fund a nautilus. I'd be left with my 5167a and a yellow dial Breitling SuperOcean (beater). Or, just save up for the nautilus. Or, maybe just relax a little and wait it out?2) if I proceed, which nautilus? Blue 5711 (because it's classic and hard-to-find); white 5711 (which I like, but worry about whether i'd like the white dial once a own the watch); blue 5712 (because it adds a complication at little incremental cost); black 5726 (because the annual calendar is cool, but incremental cost is hig
