Finally, a solution for ill informed sales people at watch retail locations. Everyone who is not a watch lover is suddenly filled with scorn at this pretentious sounding remark, but let me explain. Buying a fine watch is an exploration not only into the image and heft of a watch, but a requires an explanation (or answers at least) into the movement, construction and heritage of watch. Sometimes the question is as simple as "what movement does it have, or how does it work?" Other times the question is more complex, and equally important; "why does the watch cost so much?" The vast majority of people selling watches do not know this information, and those that do quickly climb ranks out of customer service or sales positions. Avenger II GMT at Costco
The avenger II GMT in black steel is available at my local Costco for $2,999. I'm normally not a Breitling guy (own a Rolex Submariner ND, Omega Planet Ocean, Omega Deville GMT) but I am thinking about getting this. Would the experts here consider this a good price for this watch considering it's being sold through a non-AD channel?

Finally my new Speedmaster 3570.50 arrived today! However, it seems this bracelet is one that needs a professional to adjust. Anyone try to adjust it on their own? Anyway, can't wait to actually wear it!

Fr. John's chocolate Speedy
Today I had the good fortune to meet Fr. John for lunch at a gourmet restaurant in Athens called Allen's. This is a new version of the old one which closed in 2003. A great burger joint.Anyway, I had ask that he bring his new chocolate Speedy for me to have a look. I sure am sorry he brought it! It is simply stunning! I had no idea it would be so beautiful. How hard is it to get a BLNR?
I haven't been on here in a while and checked the prices in the trusted sellers area and BLNR are going for more than retail. If I can get it cheaper from the local AD, I'll do that, but how long is the wait?
