New Breil Mediterraneo Watch Adds Dash Of Deck Wood Style, Really
Breil Milano is one of the few "fashion watch" brands that I take a keen interest in. The Italian watch designer has been slowly creeping their way upmarket with some really appealing designs. The newest model to watch my attention is the Mediterraneo watch with the inset strips of wood. Note that not all Mediterraneo watches have the wood insets. The purpose of this is to recall the style of yachts and boats, in the Mediterranean that is. I have to say the nautical suggestion is well done. This watch evokes a boating feel, not simply a diving feel. And that really makes it different. Most other boating watches are too much like diving watches to me, and while diving watches are a passion I have, I'd like more variety. With the Mediterraneo, Breil has succeeded in creating a nice looking, but unimposing watch that suggests luxury. SeaWolf: Cobra yellow or Volcano Black -- your thoughts?
Even since I sold my SteelFish, I have been lurking at the SeaWolf, however, I cannot decide whether to get the Cobra yellow version or the Volcano black (batons). I love the look of both watches, even though they do give out different signals.I am worried that the Cobra yellow version will be too colorful to wear at e.g. work (office, research), but on the other side I am worried that the Volcano black version will be too conservative (dull/boring). Also it should be mentioned that I have never had any colorful watch (the closest is a white/silver faced SteelFish), and in my current 'collection' I have a Panerai 305 and a Planet ocean - both have black dials. What are your experiences with the two versions of the amazing SeaWolf? Pros and cons? Thanks
Distinct colors
can get a nice touch.
Underrated pickup
I was looking for a daily beater and this 177 (IMHO) is the premier beater. All the pam size without the weight.
INCOMING DaytonaC Black
Got the itch this week and had to pull the trigger. The black is so stunning in person and I really prefer it to the white.I feel now with a pure black dial my collection is really rounded out.Love this hobby, but god damn is it expensive..
