Let's talk Volcano
This is a model, in the AP line that is something of a love/hate model isn't it?Friends of mine seem to love it or hate it. I love the model, but since it is a model evoking strong emotions on both side of the +/- spectrum, I'm a bit afraid to take the plunge on one...Orange. It's a strong color no doubt. I've always liked the color orange, as do I like the color yellow. The brighter the better! Like on the FC Diver. Having a splash of color in you live is usually a good thing. Is the Volcano a slow seller? I'm getting a hint it may just be. And down the line if I regret it, it could be another expensive lesson! I guess some of my worries are ultimately down to, will I keep it.... Probably not forever, but I'm a bit afraid it may be a too in your face as something of a daily watch. I try and give equal wrist time to my watches, and right now I feel I'm at that point. No longer like when I still had the AP ROC in white gold that I sometimes didn't wear for months! AP on custom strap?
Hey guys... what are your thoughts on putting a custom made hornback strap on my RO calendar? I would like to keep my AP and order the strap and conversion kit from APbands.Would this cheapen my watch because the strap is not an authentic AP strap?Thanks for thoughts

speedy pro....chrono hour off?
Has anyone noticed that the hour dail of the chrono (the dail above 6 clock) is a bit off? The minute hand is dead on and will jump in 1 min increments. For every 60 mins (2 complete turns of the min dial), the hour dial should move up by one hour. I noticed that that hour dial is ahead but approx 7 mins meaning that whenever the timing reaches 53 min, the hour dial will indicate that 1 hour has already elapsed. Anyone else have this problem?

White Nautilus vs AP Jumbo
I realize this is the Patek forum. I have a black / grey 5726 & a 5712R. I also own an AP Jumbo. Would any of you encourage or discourage trading the Jumbo for a white dial Nautilus?

Browsing at a non AD
This weekend we were at a mall in Broward County. The mall has several jewelers and most are non AD. We were browsing and one young salesman saw my brother in law and i were both wearing SS Rolexes. He says they have some preowned Rolex. Would we like to see them.? Of course we would! While looking at his small stock, he looks at my brother in laws kermit and says, that's the joker. i said are you talking about his watch? He says yes. Lol...i said um, no thats called a kermit.If you were thinking of the all green model, it is called the hulk. I then mentioned i was not opposed to purchasing a preowned watch as my first Rolex was a preowned serti sub with the diamonds and sapphires on the dial. While he was talking about looking to find a sub for $2500 to $3000 for himself, i found a picture of my serti sub. I show it to him and he says, that's a yachtmaster right? I was like, um no. ...the yachtmaster has either a gold or platinum bezel depending on the model such as stainless
