SS RO with Strap
Hi everyone! Does anyone here have there SS AP RO on a strap rather than a bracelet? Ie. leather, rubber etc.Would love to see how it looks
AT 8500 not jumping anymore...
I had sent my Aqua Terra to Omega last year as it was running very fast, but apparently not magnetized. It took almost three months to get it back. Once I received the watch I noticed that the crown didn't feel he same when setting the time, but everything was working so I didn't want to send it out again. Last night I went to wind and set the watch and all of a sudden the hour hand stopped jumping from hour to hour. It is now a smooth rotation, I know there is a problem. I'm planning on sending it back again today however I'm out of warranty at this point.... Bummer, really love this watch and I'd rather not be without it for so long again, not to mention the potential repair costs.
New Aqua Terra GMT announced...
...along with the GMT calibre for the cal. 8XXX range. Perpetuelle were among the first to report itNot sure if I'm sold on the design of this one, I was hoping they would utilise a rotating 24hr bezel like on the Aqua Terra Chrono GMT. This reminds me of the most recent Seamaster Pro 300m GMT, I just think having the 24hr markers on the dial makes it a little busy. Anyway, it's a 43mm case, will be sure to catch some attention, and I'm certain it will be the first of many GMT watches Omega will produce with this new cal. 8605All the best,Chris
Daytona Straps - Pic heavy..
Hi.If you're a fan of mirror polished gold centre links then I'm happy for you, and think there is nothing wrong with that at all I on the other hand am not. I do like a Daytona though... I had a choice, fresh back from RSC complete set 16523, or clean 116520 with no box or papers. Same price. To be honest the more I looked at the 116520 the less I liked it. The 16523 was growing on me, but that bracelet. I knew I couldn't do that bracelet!Went for the tt, glad I did Here's some pics, I'd be interested to know if you think there are any total misses or total hits here. It does fit on the all stainless solid end link bracelet from my 114270. Not perfect but close enough to wear. Didn't really like the look though. Don't know if the stainless bracelet from a 16520 would fit. Anyone tried it? Got a pic?I have a Hirsch Performance on the way in a honey coloured leather. Will post a pic of it on that when it arrives. The straps in the pictures are either Cordovan from Nomos, Eulit from yell
GMT Master II 16710 - bezel inserts question
Hi guysI've been reading the threads here for a while but this is my first post. I'm an owner of the new Air King, but am considering adding a GMT Master II 16710 to the collection. I've narrowed it down to one between 2000-2003 as I like the SEL and the fact you can change watch straps fairly easy yourself. I'm looking for one with box and papers. My questions is whether it makes any difference what colour bezel insert version of the 16710 I buy? I prefer the Pepsi or Coke aesthetically, but have found a decent priced black. Would it be a stupud idea to purchase the black and then buy a Pepsi bezel insert later? Are 'original' pepsi dial GMTs considered more 'valuable' on the market? Whilst I am buying this for my own pleasure, I also would like to know the full facts before departing with any cash too! Thanks very much!
