Tissot Watches Become Official Timekeeper Of NBA Basketball
Swatch Group-owned Tissot watches has just announced a major multi-year deal to become the official timekeeper of the NBA (National Basketball Association) and its associated entities. The deal means that Tissot will be prominently displayed in all NBA, WNBA, and other NBA-related events as the association's official timekeeper. This is big news, as American basketball is one of the more recent sports to be the recipient of heavy investments from Swiss watch makers. While there have been various deals among watch brands and teams or players, to my knowledge, there has not yet been (in recent history) any official timekeeper of the NBA at large.Tissot's relationship with the NBA is rather massive. In addition to Tissot-brand timers and game and shot clocks, Tissot will have the right to produce Tissot timepieces with any of the NBA team logos on it, as well as clocks, and other accessories. So you can appreciate that while some people might not want NBA-branded timepieces, the Tissot/NB
Please plaese help!!!!
Hi Guys,I bought my first AP 2 months ago. It is the titanium grey themes ROO on a bracelet. I absolutely love the watch but have not enjoyed it as much as I like to because I've been afraid to scratch it up. I have many other pieces/brands that I've put through the ringer and while they do have that custom patina, they still look great. On the other hand I've seen some ROO that have scratches to the bezel and they just don't look right to me.So my dilemma is1. Keep the watch and just use more often, then let APSC polish if needed2. Trade for the 44 mm ROO SS/ceramic or 44mm ROO FC/ceramic3. Trade for ceramic diver or ceramic/FC diverAny input would be greatly appreciated.thanks and happy holidays
Has there ever been a Speedmaster...
Has there ever been a Speedmaster with the following characteristics...1. Orange Dial2. Quartz Mov't3. 6,9,12 Chrono dials4. 3 oclock date window5. Arabic NumeralsI met someone with this watch, and it just looked off for some reason. He said it was a gift. He had replaced the bracelet with a non-standard model so this info is worthless.Just wondering, thanks!
That confusion over servicing intervals
It keeps coming back ; guys insisting Rolex recommends ten year servicing. But there is no such recommendation on any Rolex website I can find. The latest version is people quoting from some sales document marked 'for internal use only' .There are real experts on this forum. Can anyone produce a statement from Rolex quoting a set number of years between servicing? I think their position is ..,service when necessary. Am I wrong ?
31mm DJ question?
Hi all,I just acquired a 31 mm DJ- stainless steel (Jubilee) bracelet and white gold, diamond set bezel. Does anyone know if the crown is white gold?I'm wondering because on the everose gold/stainless version of this watch, the crown is everose gold- to match the bezel. Thanks for any input!
