SevenFriday P1 Review
It has been a while since a watch has crossed our paths that has been utterly unique, with a design vocabulary all of its own. Often, the watches we look at are derived from historical designs, namely of military origin. Sometimes the watches refer more to classic watch making, and sometimes they simply refer to other iconic watches whose values greatly exceed that which is normally obtainable. Well, in the case of the new SevenFriday P1, no such immediate references can be made. The P1 was designed from the ground up with a unique vision and a remarkable attention to detail. Do PP AD's Discount Retail?
Scared to ask! I see the topic in Rolex all the time, but searched discount and found nothing re: Pateks. Has anyone purchased a Patek from an authorized dealer and received a discount? What were the circumstances? (frequent buyer, knew somebody, slow seller, gold vs. steel)? I guess I'm curious about any model, but specifically wonder about SS Nautilus (5711, 5980, 5712, 5726).I plan to go to a sales-tax free state (Shreve in Portland, Oregon, USA), and just wonder what kind of shot I might have, and how best to approach it?

Traveller sells another 233!
I have been eyeing a 233 to add to my collection for a few months. After reviewing all of Traveller's great pieces on the 233, I knew it was the piece for me. I am so appreciative for those of you (like Traveller), who are willing to take the time to provide great reviews and great pics. Traveller and I have never met or exchanged greetings, but my appreciation goes out to him - individuals like him make this a great forum!Here is my latest addition.

Two things I'd change on the Daytona
I'm a big Daytona fan. I wear mine more than all my other watches, combined. But still there are two small, presumably easy and inexpensive things that could be done to it to make it better.1. Anti-reflective coating on the underside of the crystal. Why hide the beautiful dial in glare? Topside AR smudges too much, so I'd prefer only underside. It's frankly embarrassing for a five-figure watch not to have AR coating these days. Especially when the dial is glossy; sometimes the dial or hands will reflect off the underside of the crystal, onto the glossy dial, back onto the underside of the crystal, back onto the dial...it's like a funhouse mirror effect. 2. Re-do the ticks between the minute markers.There are 5 ticks per minute marker. But the Daytona ticks 8x/second. Let's have four ticks per minute marker, so the chrono second hand, you know, can actually be read to its 1/8 second capability. This is really just an academic exercise, because Rolex does what Rolex wants. But these two
