Linde Werdelin SpidoLite II Tech
Linde Werdelin has announced two new limited edition models for their SpidoLite II series of luxury sport watches. The new LW SpidoLite II Tech features two variations of a watch that takes the recognizable SpidoLite II platform and moves it into the next generation as far as case construction and materials are concerned. The SpidoLite II Tech boasts case composition which employs both forged carbon and Linde Werdelin's own ALW, a proprietary metal alloy that is the result of two years worth of research and development. The Tech series shares the same 44 x 15mm case proportions as the rest of the SpidoLite II family and shares a similar look with a two-piece skeletonised dial, sub seconds at nine, and a date display at three. What sets the new Tech models apart is their high tech case construction, which is comprised of an inner case made of ALW (Alloy Linde Werdelin) and an outer case fashioned from forged carbon fibre. ALW is an metal alloy that Linde Werdelin reports to be 50% lighte
Hands-On: The Girard-Perregaux 1966 In Steel
Girard-Perregaux has been, for the last few years, in the public eye very much for its haute horlogerie pieces, and it deserves the attention it’s gotten. The variations on its classic Three Golden Bridges Tourbillon are a great example of how it’s still possible to create stylistically compelling variations on what has for at least a decade threatened to be a played-out complication (the 2015 tourbillon model with minute repeater, for instance, is breathtaking). It makes some of the most original decorative arts watches as well, including the 2015 Baselworld “Chamber of Wonders” watches with map motifs. And, of course, it is also the company that cracked a centuries-old horological puzzle by releasing the very first wristwatch with a true constant force escapement (not to be confused with a remontoire d’egalite, which, though a constant force device – like the chain-and-fusee – should not be confused with the far rarer constant force escapemen
Planet ocean servicing
Can anyone recommend someone for a full service on a pre-coaxial movement?Refinishing etc? And any idea of cost?Trying to advise a friend to either send to Omega himself...vs go thru a local AD.
Get your Omega before 1st September price rise
Been looking to get the new PO titanium and Liquid metal, and yes before anyone points out I started a thread about them being to dear for an Omega. After seeing a not for sale model I really want one, have just been told the pre realease price of ?4670 if you pay up front now, will increase on 1st September to ?4900 so buy now and beat the price increase. Only downside is you won't get the watch till 2012 as this particual model isn't released till then.
BLNR used market
I'm confused. No one can buy a BLNR, none of the dealers have them in stock, demand is high, etc. Or so they say. Yet there are plenty for sale both used and BNIB here in the forum and they don't seem to move very quickly. Nice condition watches for slightly above and below $8K sit, unloved and unwanted, for months. New ones, priced around $8600 (give or take) loiter in the listings.Me, personally, I'm still waiting, watching, debating, wondering. Any ideas on what's going on?
