Bell & Ross BR Twelve O’Clock Limited Edition Set
By its very nature, time is a relative concept that man has always wanted to punctuate with markers. The development of watch mechanisms has enabled it to be measured precisely. With the creation of the BR Twelve O'Clock timepiece, Bell & Ross is rewriting the rules of traditional watchmaking by doing away with minutes and seconds. Find pricing and availability inside. Designed as an objet d'art, the BR Twelve O'Clock is an artistic interpretation of the Bell & Ross disk-based display. Primarily conceptual, it is a constantly evolving animated piece of art, indicating the exact time for only a fleeting moment. The BR Twelve O'Clock is a clock made up of 12 display watches, each mounted on a winder:? Each watch dial displays a number corresponding to an hour of the day: 1, 2, 3, etc. up to 12.? Each number is drawn on three concentric disks. As the disks rotate, the numbers become fragmented, making them illegible. You must wait until the disks are correctly positioned to be able
Movado Ferrari Watches
I was sort of under the impression that Hublot had the corner on this market, but whatever. Movado just announced that it signed a multi-year agreement with Ferrari?to make watches with the Ferrari and Scuderia names, as well as use the brand logos. How this ties into Hublot's assumed exclusive agreement is unclear to me. My theory is that Hublot has claim on all higher-end Ferrari watches, while the Movado deal is for more entry-level luxury watches. According to the announcement the Movado Ferrari watches will only cost up to 1,500 Euros. Set to arrive in 2013, the Ferrari collection of watches from Movado will take a lot of forms, the least of which will be this Movado Museum watch with a prancing pony in lieu of the sun.UPDATE: So Hublot was kind enough to clear some of the confusion around what seems to be competing contract agreements with Ferrari and watch makers. Hublot has a larger more robust contact agreement to participate with Ferrari in all sorts of events and products, a
Boutique to open in Roseville Galleria
Stopped by to check out a vacancy in the Westfield Roseville, CA Galleria food court this weekend and noticed a giant orange PO poster that said Omega Boutique coming soon. I know there's at least 2-3 Rolex ADs alone inside that massive maze of a mall so it will be interesting.
How best to shop for a pre-owned 5127J?
I'm shopping for a pre-owned 5127J, and I'm looking for thoughts on where to shop and who I can trust.I've found online listings on Chrono24 and other high profile sites, but I don't have a high level of comfort with some of the sellers. I don't know if I can trust the descriptions, etc.--and I don't want to play buy-it-return-it games. I've also kept an eye out in the For Sale section on this site.I'm in the mid-Atlantic on the east coast, so I think there'd be options to find a good seller/dealer and conduct the sale face-to-face, but I don't know where to start. I did see one listed with Tarrytown Jewelers in New York. Are they reputable?Any suggestions on how else I can expand my search?Thank you.Cheers,LS
Pam 183 Repair Help
I have about a two year old PAM 183 that I purchased through TRF in early 2012. It was used at that time and was purchased from a private seller, not one of the trusted sellers. Therefore, it is older than two years, but since it came with open papers, I don't really know for sure how old it is.This weekend the winding became abruptly rough and the watch is not running long before stopping, so it will need repair. I believe it is out of warranty and don't want to fudge the papers, just get it fixed correctly and at a reasonable price. There is a local watchmaker here that I have used for minor things (like putting a new bezel insert on a GMT I used to own, but I have no real experience with his more complex work. Alternatively, I could use an online watch repair service (such as??) or send to Panerai.Advice? Thanks in advance.L
