Bulgari Unveils Three New Watches in Revamped Bulgari Bulgari Collection
Bulgari introduced three new models in its iconic Bulgari Bulgari men’s watch collection at Baselworld 2013, including the line’s first chronograph and tourbillon timepieces. Each new watch contains a manufacture movement crafted in Bulgari’s ateliers in La Chaux-de-Fonds and Le Sentier, Switzerland. The Bulgari Bulgari made its debut in 1977, on the heels of the runaway success of the limited-edition Bulgari Roma, a digital watch that was given as a Christmas gift to Bulgari’s top 100 clients a few years earlier, in 1975, and that of another limited edition, issued in 1976, that was available only at the Bulgari boutique in Rome. (Bulgari has released a new, limited mechanical version of the Bulgari Roma, as part of the 2013 collection.)The inspiration for both the original Roma and the first Bulgari Bulgari was an ancient Roman coin on which the effigy of the emperor was encircled by engraved inscriptions. PAM 422 Goes to Italy!
Hi All,I recently received a PAM 422 about a month ago as a gift to celebrate my wedding on Sept 26th. The first time I saw a Panerai I was immediately hooked, even if I didn't know it. At the time, I was wearing an Omega 2254 Seamaster, and the Luminor style watch with the large crownguard looked so different from anything else I had seen before. Although I thought the watch looked ugly, I felt inexplicably drawn to the design. My interest in Panerai and watches in general picked up, and I came very close to picking up a Zero or 112, but I ultimately held off because I decided to leave my job and go back to grad school.Fast forward five years and a lot sure has changed. First and foremost, is my recent marriage to a lovely lady who not only appreciates me, but also my passion for Panerai. In fact, she was the one who suggested I get a Panerai as my wedding gift! I hadn't really kept current on the latest models, so I spent about a month doing research on the web and trying out differe

Started out a couple weeks ago with the new Radiomir 572. Last week I attended a Panerai evening event at a local AD. Today this arrived, the Luminor 372. They make a great pair. And I'm already thinking about going gold! Just a thought for now.
New Sub with 3235... Display back a possibility?
The 3235 is very beautiful as are all 3200 series movements. Can anyone foresee Rolex going with a display back? I would like to see it, but I doubt that it would happen as it would be a point at which water resistance could fail and it gets away from the Rolex tradition of solid case backs. Plus, even though Rolex's quality control is world class, why take the chance of a tiny dust particle being displayed prominently on the movement? To me, from Rolex's point of view, there are too many cons against doing a display back.I think we have all seen the aftermarket display backs out there for Submariners. Even the 3135 looks nice through a display back, but I am against aftermarket parts, so I would never put a non-Rolex display back on my watch. With the clone 3135 movements out there (I put clone in quotes because there are differences), A display back with a 3235 movement would be an easy way to tell the movement is genuine Rolex. But again, I doubt Rolex would put a display back
