Invicta Reserve Pro Diver Swiss Automatic Lefty Meteorite Watch
I love writing about Invicta watches because you readers get so worked up about them with your polarizing viewpoints. Some of you swear by Invicta carrying around your collection of 47 'ShopNBC specials' in a duffel bag at all times, while other wouldn't touch them with their worst enemy's wrist. It is true that Invicta has a lot of hit and misses, as well as a broad range prices to go with their watches. Sometimes it is actually not fair, because you can't compare a $1,000 Invicta with a $50 one - but they both have the same name on the dial, so what are you to do?Here is one of their "Invicta Reserve" models which is supposed to be a higher-end piece with a Swiss movement and more interesting features. This one (model J401063) has a long name and some interesting qualities. This is the black on black version of the Invicta Reserve Men's Pro Diver Swiss Automatic (let me take a breath) Lefty Meteorite Dial Bracelet Watchwith the "diver's case." 1-1/2 link for Jumbo
Anyone in between sizes on the Jumbo? I feel like it's either too tight or too loose playing with just the one link. Thinking of getting the 1-1/2 link. Will be calling AP on Monday to see how much.
Nautilus 5712 vs Calatrava 5227G
Hi, newbie here and to watches in general. I only got one watch, a Rolex Datejust 41, which I chose over a Submariner at the time I bought it, and now to which I am fond of. Now here goes the time to consider what I'm gonna buy myself next. I went to a local AD without knowing anything about PP and fell in love with the Calatrava 5227G. But then of course I went online, and almost universally people recommend the 5711. I tried to look and get on waiting lists and figured I got a better chance on the 5712 so now I'm on the waiting list for that (8-12 mos from an AD in the US)Which now puts me at asking what I should be buying - the 5227G is pure love while the 5712 is a safe choice. I'm 31yo, self-employed with my share of attending important functions and meetings, and I plan to make this watch an all-rounder, wearing it anywhere from an important meeting to strolling at the mall. I realize the 5227G is more closer to the PP brand, and somehow that is an upside for me. Any thoughts?Sen
Opinions from 243 owners
Looking at an I 243 with great patina. Anybody have opinions on the 243? I've had a 233, 305, and 422 but no t dials. Thoughts....
Daytona Ceramic resale price
I'm considering buying a black Daytona ceramic. I'm the second on the wait list with a new shipment coming in next month. Just curious what a fair resale price is if I decide the watch isn't for me.
