Stowa Partitio Review
When one thinks of Stowa, there are a few watches that immediately spring to mind. Front and center are the iconic Fliegers, followed closely by their Marine chronometers and the Antea series. But there is another watch in Stowa's catalogue that almost never gets mentioned, overshadowed by its more popular siblings: the Partitio Klassik. The Partitio is the hidden gem of Stowa's lineupa classically styled 3-hander that may offer their greatest value, especially given today's favorable exchange rates for American buyers. As of this writing, the Partitio is 579 EUR excluding VAT (690 EUR with), which is approximately $667 USD.The Partitio was first released in 2008, initially through the German retailer Manufactum before becoming a standard model in the brand's catalogue. That inaugural offering featured a black dial, with the overall design very similar to a watch Stowa made back in the 1930s. In 2012, Stowa unveiled an update to the line featuring a white dial with parchment colored l
Review: Techne GosHawk (Ref. 411)
Previously on worn&wound we've discussed those watches or watch brands that manage to achieve superb design and quality in a surprisingly / unbelievably affordable price point.? Think Steinhart with their $400, ETA powered pieces, or the $200 Maratac Pilot with a quality automatic and sapphire crystal the size of your head. ?Having spent some time with the $338?Techn GosHawk (and previously Sparrowhawk) I am beginning to think that Techn deserves a place in that conversation.?The GosHawk pairs unique aviator styling and excellent craftsmanship with a quality Japanese automatic movement and superior components.Case: Bead Blasted Stainless SteelMovement: Miyota 8217 AutomaticDial: BlackLume: C3Lens: Sapphire with AR coatingStrap: “Saddle” Oiled LeatherWater Res.: 50mDimensions: 41.4mm x 48.7mmThickness: 12.5mmLug Width: 20mmCrown: Screw downWarranty: 1 YearCaseThe case of the GosHawk is simple and clean, matching an aesthetic seen throughout the watch. Screwdriver for 42mm Panerai
I have a new PAM 338 42mm RadiomirThe screwdrivers that I have seem to be either too small (ie not wide enough) or too thick (stick in the slot). I would like to minimize the chances of damage to the screws or the case. I am referring to the small screws used to hold the wires for strap changes.Any idea of the best screwdriver for this?BTW I did see an OEM screwdriver for this purpose for sale, but $125 seems steep to me, especially because, until I try it, I can't be sure that it really works better than what I have.L
